Oh wow! A restaurant training Center with excellent food. They train people from country side without charging any fees and provide food and lodging. The only means of earning for the trainees is the tips from the customers. But the meals are very well done. They have fixed menu with limited vegetarian options but very happy with what I ate. Loved the asparagus soup, the salad, the potato rosti and the apple pie with ice cream. Margot, the manager, gave us a tour of their kitchen which was quite clean and tidy. Read moreThis is a western restaurant with a gourmet setup. The waitresses are very aware and polite and do a good job. The dishes are kind of small but 3 courses make you full. The food is decent not the best i have had. I think i needs more flavor - the meat though were perfectly cooked.
The restaurant is a training center where young people who cant afford an education can come into training for 11 months.
The food was quiet expensive. 41.000 kyats for 3 courses. You have to pay extra tips to make sure chefs in training get an income.
