One Star - A Culinary Catastrophe at Farmhouse Deli
If you're ever in the mood to question your life choices, may I boldly suggest a visit to Farmhouse Deli? This place should come with a warning label. "Abandon hope, all ye who enter here."
The ambiance? Imagine a barn, but somehow less charming and more depressing. The décor appears to have been chosen by someone who just discovered Pinterest... in 2009. I sat on a chair that squeaked like it had seen things—horrible things.
Now, the food. Oh, the food. My sandwich arrived looking like it lost a bar fight. The bread was so stale I considered using it as a doorstop. The turkey was as dry as a desert memoir, and the mysterious "house aioli" tasted like regret mixed with expired mayo. And don’t even ask about the side salad—it looked like it had been harvested from a lawnmower bag.
The service was a masterclass in neglect. Our waiter vanished faster than my appetite. After waiting 30 minutes for water, I began to hallucinate a better restaurant.
All in all, Farmhouse Deli is the place you take someone when you're ending a relationship. Avoid it like the plague, or worse, like their...
Read moreAmbience is beautiful, beautiful inside and outside, it offers a great outdoor area with sea views. I imagine best time to eat there would be sunset time. Service is also great. Only down was the food. I've enjoyed all the restaurants I've been in Namibia so far, this was just ok. Too many a la "MasterChef" inventions. Ambience is the plus, dessert looked appetizing but we didn't try as we were full. Overall beautiful place for the ambience and...

I came here for an early dinner. Nice view of the beach and coast. Quiet and relaxing, and casual type place.
What's more, you can find bargains on the menu. Quiche with mini salad from the light bites section is only $45, but was very filling and very tasty too, with a big portion of feta salad.
Soup was a disappointment. Tasty, but such a small bowl (think the sort of soup bowl you get at buffets).
Cakes is where this place stands out. Huge selection, each serving only $35-40.
Coffee milkshake was amazingly good.
Come here for a casual and decent value...
