Absolutely magnificent 10/10 .... We had a super long tiring day exploring, came to this restaurant, and was really friendly welcomed into the restaurant. Wait staff have friendly faces and acknowledged us immediately from the cold windy elements outside and invited us in....
Cleopatra was our waitress and with a 5year old in our party her attention to detail was exceptional.
The younster asked for a glass of water and almost instantly it was delivered with a color pad and crayons. Our drinks was out also very quick and we also wanted water. The wine glasses were removed and the water glasses put down and water served. And somewhere in between the bread for the table arrived and this was a nice treat to be offered some fresh warm bread THANK YOU.
Our food came out SUPER QUICK... We ordered snails to share amongst the 6 of us and the Extra snail forks was ready in a flash. The condiments tomato sauce and mayo I requested also on the table long before the food like it should be... And keep in mind the restaurant was busy and we were not the only table there..
The snail plates was cleared on time.
My friend ordered the sole and said this was the best he had in Month's as he do like this and is usually not satisfied but with Light house team he said he is absolutely pleased with, he also said he is not sure any one ever beated the quality nor taste of the one he had tonight so he is also hard to.llease and you knocked his socks off today...
2 of us ordered the "something fishy" (in the picture, a Mussels pot main, as well as hake and calamari... And of course a burger for the younster, His food was out of the kitchen first like it is supposed to be then followed our plates.
Ferdi (what a nice Chap) also stopped by after the mains was served around the 2nd bite like procedure is supposed to be to ensure all is in order.
I could not fault anything or any one.
Being an old timer in the service industry and know proper service and I can tell you there was absolutely nothing I could fault... KEEPING IN MIND I'M TIRED HUNGRY FRUSTRATED AND JUST FEELING LIKE A DIFFICULT CUSTOMER... AND we were blown away!!! Thank you so much for such good service, and team spirit in your establishment, as they all worked in a team to bring our plates and all plates ended up in the correct seating position no mistakes...
The waiters all came to sing for my friend for his birthday and this was just the candle on the cake for the evening... We were treated famously and sincerely appreciated your service friendly staff and ambiance of we ever come this way well be back and word of. Mouth do go a long way so. All. My friends would know about this magnificent restaurant that have a well priced menu and. Excellent exceptional service. I SURE HOPE Cleopatra receive the employee of the month award as she definitely deserves this.
And they kept the show on the roll even when we exited the restaurant there were a few wait staff including Cleopatra wishing us a wonderful evening and a save drive home

Read moreWe visited this place as a large group for dinner and made a reservation prior. The staff were completely flustered, disorganised and inattentive. The manager has no clue how to talk to customers and is completely rude and disrespectful.
Firstly the tables were not set up upon arrival and they spilt up our group. There was a huge 1 hour wait between starters and mains while our smaller table had already been served mains and left within that wait time. I ordered a GRILLED kingklip and was served an over cooked fried kingklip. The manager was sent to me to convince me that my dish was grilled and not fried (even though you can see it was fried and I was other guest get the grilled version) and wow, I have never been spoken to like that in my life. He was incredible rude and stand-offish. I of course brushed it off because I felt so uncomfortable but never in my life. It actually ruined my whole evening and I was completely shocked and disgusted with how I was treated despite me being polite about the whole thing. All dishes for the group came out in dribs and drabs and most of the people at our table were very unhappy with the level of service and the food, not to mention the ridiculous waiting period. Some people were still being served mains long after other had finished. It got so bad eventually our tour guide started clearing tables like a waitress to help the flustered staff.
A word of advice: 1) if you’re expecting a big group, have enough staff. If you don’t have enough staff then don’t accept a big group. 2) the customer is always right, don’t belittle them or treat them poorly if you’ve messed up. 3) if you’re going to spilt a group of tourist, serve them all together. We don’t know the area and have 1 mode of...
Read moreLighthouse was a pleasant surprise. It’s beachfront, but what makes it stand out is how it's slightly hidden on the corner under trees and greenery, while still giving a great view. That bit of separation gives it more privacy and a calmer vibe compared to the other restaurants along the Corniche, which are usually wide open and right in the middle of the foot traffic.
I tried their grilled calamari “Lighthouse Dish” and it was genuinely excellent. Probably one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Nicely charred, tender, and seasoned just right, for the first time I had a grilled calamari which is not chewy and sticky. It didn’t feel overdone or gimmicky, just solid cooking that lets the seafood speak for itself.
Service was decent and professional, and the menu leans seafood-heavy, and from what I saw, the other dishes looked well-prepared too.
That said, prices are a bit on the higher side. Not outrageous, but you’ll definitely notice it, especially if you’re used to more casual spots. However, I noticed this all across Nam good restaurants, but the food quality and the setting justifies it — but it’s something to keep in mind.
I’d differently go back if I'm back...
