“All roads truly lead to Indus.” That’s my new favourite saying, and it couldn’t be more true.
Indus isn’t just a restaurant—it’s become a second home. I write this as a proud friend to the Afsar family, but mainly as a devoted regular who keeps coming back because the experience is genuinely unmatched. The food? Always rich, flavourful, and made with love. The service? Warm, attentive, and always with a smile—no matter how busy it gets.
Since the place changed hands and underwent a beautiful renovation, it’s transformed into one of the most stunning and welcoming hangout spots in town. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cosy and elegant, and the design choices reflect real care and vision. As a traveller from London who’s eaten Indian food all over the world, I was truly blown away by Indus Restaurant in Windhoek, Namibia. This was hands-down some of the best Indian food I've ever had!
The Indus Naan, Daal Tadka, Lasuniya Murg, Paneer, and Chicken Tikka were all bursting with flavour, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The Mango Lassi was the perfect refreshing touch. What made it even more special was the warm hospitality – the owners were incredibly friendly, and the whole place had a welcoming, homely vibe.
If you're in Windhoek and love Indian food, this place is an absolute must-visit. I left full, happy, and already looking forward to...
Read moreFavourite resturant in Windhoek right now(Aug 2025). SUCH delicious food! Went with friends and tasted each other's food and everything was so good. The food was really authentic and portion sizes were decent. Main meals ranged between N$100 and 150 (not including rice or rotis) which was pretty good. The samosas were flaky and perfect, the veg dishes were just as good as the meat dishes. The most memorable part was the chai😭😭just as good as proper Kenyan Chai. Wish they sold a flask/pot of it because I kept going back for more. The inside is calming and the menu design is the best in Whk, hands down! I'll be...
