Superb coffee house. They have a modern look and feel, with comfortable furniture to lounge in or work at. Spacious interiors with ample space to find your own quiet place, or to meet with a group of friends or coworkers for a meeting.

I got their chicken panini, which was easily shareable between two people. I almost thought they doubled our order, but the serving sizes are huge - at least with the paninis. Their turmeric latte was delicious and I love how it came unsweetened. They have brown and white sugar available on the tables, alongside fresh plants.

Their WiFi is fast and reliable, excellent place to come unwind or work on projects in an environment suitable for inspiration.

There’s a parking lot out front. The employees are really friendly. Don’t order at the bar when you walk in, find a table or seating area and a staff member will bring you a menu.

As a digital nomad, I rely on good cafés for work and meetings, and I’ve frequently visited both Gyanmandala and Jhamsikhel Java. Jhamsikhel recently introduced a quiet room, which was a fantastic addition—finally, a space free from loud music and constant disturbances. But now, they’ve changed their policy, requiring pre-booking even when the room is empty.

Today, my friend and I asked if we could use it, but they refused, so we had to leave. While I understand the need for policies, this rigid approach makes Java far less accessible for digital nomads who need flexibility. The main café areas are too noisy, with loud music and constant chatter, making it difficult to focus. They do offer dedicated tables for remote work, but the noise levels aren’t ideal for deep focus. Unfortunately, Java no longer feels digital-nomad-friendly....

If you're on the hunt for one of the best places in town for sandwiches, this spot should be at the top of your list. Not only do they excel in the sandwich department, but they also brew some of the best coffee around. The ambiance is inviting, and the service is consistently top-notch.

However, be prepared to spend a bit more here, as the prices are on the higher side. That said, the taste is exceptional, making it worth the splurge—especially when it comes to their signature dish, the 'Java Special Sandwich.' It’s a personal favorite of mine, and I highly recommend giving it a try.
