I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jhimbu and it was an experience worth sharing. The restaurant is known for its authentic Thakali set, which truly stands out as their signature dish. As someone who appreciates traditional flavors, I was impressed by the care and authenticity put into this meal. The Thakali set includes an array of dishes that are a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The set comes with perfectly cooked mutton, chicken, or fish, and the best part is that all the meat served here is halal, which is a significant plus for those who prefer or require halal options. The meat is tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The Thali itself is a beautiful assortment of flavors and textures, including papad, curd, beans, daal, salad, tomatoes, achar, Mustang alu, horse radish pickle, karela, and other traditional delicacies. Each component of the Thali is prepared with care, offering a true taste of Nepalese cuisine. One of the best things about this restaurant is their generous policy of offering additional servings for free if you're still hungry. This makes it a fantastic place for hearty eaters who appreciate good food and value for money. Alongside the Thakali set, they also serve a variety of coffee and juice options, which are perfect for pairing with the meal or simply enjoying on their own. Another highlight of the menu is their selection of burgers. These are not just any burgers, but ones that are crafted with the same level of care and flavor as their traditional dishes. Whether you're in the mood for something classic or something with a twist, their burgers are sure to satisfy. The ambiance of the restaurant is another strong point. Whether you prefer the cozy, closed space or the airy, open space, [Restaurant Name] offers an atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. The decor is tastefully done, creating a warm and welcoming environment that makes you feel right at home. In conclusion, Jimbu is a gem for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Thakali cuisine, delicious burgers, and a pleasant dining atmosphere. Whether you're dining alone, with family, or with friends, this restaurant offers something for everyone. I highly recommend giving it a try—you won't be disappointed!

I recently visited Jimbu Thakali in Lalitpur, Nepal and would like to share my experience. The restaurant has good parking facilities which is a plus point. However, the service was a little slow which could be improved. Despite this, the food was delicious and I highly recommend trying the Thakali cuisine. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is perfect for a casual dine-in experience with friends or family. Jimbu Thakali also serves a variety of other Nepali dishes that are equally delicious. The restaurant uses fresh and locally sourced ingredients which adds to the authenticity of the food. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure that your dining experience is comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, if you're in the area and looking for some authentic Nepali food, Jimbu Thakali is definitely worth a visit.

We went on festival time expecting it to be empty, but to our surprise, it was very packed. We ordered a variety of dishes. Chicken chilly, which I order literally everyhwere, was good, but that is a very low bar to clear. The Lasagna was good but the portion was extremely small LMAO. The plate that they used to serve it could fit four more of what they served 😂. The sizzler was good, but unlike the one I had in Tengal, the sauce was distinctly burnt. The service was solid and the staff were very friendly. I didn't have the rice though, I don't know why anyone would go to an upscale restro to have daal bhaat. Whatever floats other people's boats I guess.

I have been to all three locations of Jimbu inside the Valley. This week, we went to the Jhamsikhel Jimbu for lunch. I was shocked to see their service that day. Took literally 10 minutes to get the second serving of rice. My friend tried the Nachos here, which was very expensive and the worst part is it tasted so bad, something was off, maybe the ingredients were stale and badly prepared. We couldn't eat even half. Hot chocolate also, too sweet and too thin consistency to our liking, more water than milk. I request Jimbu team to make improvements on foods other than the thakali Khana. Sorry but had a really bad experience 😞

If l could give 6,7,8 stars ⭐️ then l would. The ambiance, service and quality of dishes are truly second to none. Fantastic menu all round and something for everyone’s taste buds. I was fortunate to be shown this place by a couple of locals and l immediately came back the following day for lunch as the menu really noticed me. With a fantastic Thakali l went ahead the following day and ordered the angel wings and grilled pork chop and OMG…….THE VIRGIN MOJITO was a great thirst quencher that packed a punch… Well done to all staff and thank you.

Great restaurant with several nice spaces to eat both upstairs, downstairs, and outside. Wide menu of which I had the tasty chicken wings stuffed with pork. On another trip I had the pork chop and my wife the nachos. Both good. Next time I will try their local thali (set meal) that has lots of extra choices at a good price. Will try other items on next visits. A huge bus full of folks were leaving as I entered so they must be ready for big groups / crowds. Big parking area too in the middle of the city. Ready for several busses.
