Mirch, a new Indian restaurant located in Jhamsikhel, offers an intriguing dining experience, especially with its early opening and ongoing development. Although still a work in progress, the restaurant has made a commendable start with its offerings, including some standout dishes and attractive discounts. During my visit, I had the opportunity to try both the Chicken Biryani and the Mutton Champaran . The Chicken Biryani, which was available at a 50% discount, was a notable highlight. The flavors were well-balanced, with aromatic spices and tender chicken, making it a good deal given the reduced price. At full price, however, it might not provide the same value, as the portion size and overall experience might not justify the standard rate. The Mutton Champaran , on the other hand, was satisfactory but not exceptional. While the mutton was cooked well and the flavors were decent, the dish did not quite stand out compared to other offerings. The Champaran had its moments but fell short of being a memorable experience. The restaurant's ambiance is still evolving, with some areas of the space under construction. Despite this, the staff were attentive and provided good service, which added to the positive aspects of the visit. In summary, Mirch offers promising Indian cuisine with attractive discounts that make it worth trying, especially if you're looking for a deal. While the Chicken Biryani impressed with its value, the Mutton Champaran was average. As the restaurant continues to develop, it has the potential to become a notable addition to the Jhamsikhel dining scene.

Mirch Restaurant is a cozy spot specializing in Indian cuisine, offering a decent experience for those craving authentic Indian flavors in a small, casual setting. The ambience is average, and sometimes there are issues with the air conditioning, but the focus here is really on the food. The menu is a bit limited, especially for non-vegetarians, as chicken is the only non-veg option available. However, within that range, dishes like the chicken tikka and chicken roast kebab are quite satisfying. Their naan varieties—especially the butter naan, plain naan, and garlic naan are well-made, soft, and flavorful. For vegetarians, the restaurant offers classic dishes like Aloo Mutter and Paneer preparations, which are delicious and definitely worth trying. The momos served here are different from the traditional Newari-style momos, providing a unique twist, although they may not be to everyone’s taste. They also serve a good selection of coffee, juices, and alcoholic beverages, making it a decent place for a quick casual meal or small gathering. Payments are easy with QR codes and cards accepted, and they provide VAT bills. The parking is manageable, though not very spacious. The restaurant itself can comfortably fit around 20–30 people, so it’s more suitable for small groups. One thing to keep in mind is that the prices are on the higher side, especially considering the portion sizes and overall ambience. Still, if you’re craving simple Indian chicken dishes and good naan, Mirch Restaurant is a place to consider for a one-time visit.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mirch, and I wanted to take a moment to share my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the welcoming ambiance and attentive service. However, it was the food that truly stole the evening. Each dish we tried were testament. The Chicken Birayani and Harabhara were particularly noteworthy. We all enjoyed the food here. I look forward to returning and trying more of your exceptional menu offerings. I give 8 out of 10 on rating.

I recently visited Mirch Restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience overall.

To start, the food lacked the tempting flavors one would expect. The Andhra Biryani, in particular, was a letdown. The rice was undercooked, and there was an excessive amount of oil at the bottom, which had an uncooked, unpleasant texture. It felt like the dish was rushed and not given the care it deserved.

Additionally, the pricing on the menu did not justify the quality or the portions served. It felt inadequate and left me questioning the value for money.

The ambiance, while aiming for a lively atmosphere, was overpowered by the live singing, which was excessively loud. It made conversation difficult and detracted from the dining experience rather than enhancing it.

Overall, Mirch Restaurant doesn’t seem to offer a compelling reason for a second visit. The food, service, and atmosphere left much to be desired. Hopefully, the management can address these issues...
