White Swan — Restaurant in Île des Terres Basses

Staff was so friendly. I ordered take out and the one last chatted with me. I mentioned that I am trying to grow plants and she went out back behind the restaurant and got me some seeds to take with me. She gave me advice on where to get still and planters and said to come back so she could give me more later when I got the planters. She also gave me advice of other touristy places to go and the best beaches. Kind just because. You get a lot of good for only about ten bucks. The beef and veggie was awesome. You get choice of rice: white or fried and a meat of some kind. (chicken teriyaki, beef vegetable, chicken curry, shrimp dishes and many more... ) They also offer vegetarian dishes even for quick lunch take out. The place was clean and organized. Staff offered help right away and brought a menu and helped to recommend what dish. Then they insisted giving me water and we're very welcoming. Last night, we came at 6:30 pm, although our appetizers were served after 30 minutes, it took them 1 hour and 30 minutes to serve our main food that's worth $187.00. They prefer to cook those food that were called by phone. There was also a well-known family that came 5 minutes after us that were given food first. They left at 8 pm and only then that they started bringing our food. At 7:55pm I asked 1 of the Chinese waitress/family member what happened to our food and she promised in 5 minutes and I told her that if our food won't be brought to our table by then, we will leave and only pay for the appetizers that we have because we're already hungry. They prefer to serve the $20 or $30 take out food than those that dine in. They have to balance it and diffenitely first come, first...

First time rolling through. Love me some Chinese food both cheap and fancy. The inside was for sure not super nice, no A/C running and pretty hot and stuffy. I decided to grad a to-go order. Took about 30 minutes but that’s not a negative because they definitely made it fresh. I asked for kung pao extra spicy and the employee suggested I get the Manchurian chicken as it would be more spicy, I did, and it was pretty good. The spice level was great, not wimpy, not insane. The flavor itself could have been more complex but overall I was happy with my meal.
