I had the most delightful dining experience at Hart van India restaurant in Alkmaar city center today. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat. The warm and welcoming ambience immediately put me at ease, making me feel like I was in for something special.
As I perused the menu, I couldn't resist trying some classic Indian dishes. To start, I ordered the Mango Lassi, and it was simply divine. The smooth and creamy texture paired perfectly with the sweet and refreshing taste of mango, leaving me wanting more.
Next came the main courses, and I must say, I was blown away. The Chicken Biryani was fragrant and flavorful, with tender pieces of chicken and perfectly cooked rice. It was a beautiful medley of spices that danced on my taste buds.
The Lamb Madras was another highlight of the meal. The rich and aromatic curry had just the right amount of heat, and the tender lamb melted in my mouth. Each bite was a burst of flavor that left me completely satisfied.
And who could forget the Garlic Naan? It was a heavenly accompaniment to the main dishes, with its soft and fluffy texture, complemented by the tantalizing taste of garlic.
I was impressed not only by the delicious food but also by the impeccable service. The dishes were served promptly, and the friendly and attentive server made sure I felt well taken care of throughout my dining experience. Their pleasant greeting and genuine warmth added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
In conclusion, my visit to Hart van India was a truly delightful experience. The combination of delectable food, inviting ambiance, and friendly service made it an unforgettable dining outing. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic and enjoyable Indian cuisine experience. I will undoubtedly return to Hart van India whenever I find myself in...
Read moreThis place gets a solid 3.75/5. The ambience was amazing, the service was great, but the food did not meet my expectations. It was not undelicious but just was not aa spicy as I would have expected based on my experience of Indian cuisine from around the world. The service was great, with the employees being attentive and patient. Unfortunately, in some cases, they could not tell us how the food would be when we asked for more information on new foods we had never tried. The excuse was "I'm an intern so I don't know yet". Just a little recommendation, I think the proprietor could enhance value by ensuring new joiners try samples of the foods on the menu so they can be help with informing diners in case they ask. Other than that top place and I hope to visit...

Then there's the food, which tastes amazing. It really tastes like something you've never had before. The flavour and texture are very well balanced. The food is also not too spicy, they did a good job with letting you taste the spice but not overwhelm you.
The waitress was nice. The chef and the waitress also checkup regularly to know if the food tasted, if you'd like a drink, if you would like a dessert and etc.
You might think the food is expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. And although the portions might look normal, you will get a full belly with still some leftovers.
It is a well deserved 5...
