Some pros but also some cons

Let’s start with the positive ones; nice service. Explained how it works. Very friendly Sushi in general good with good amount of fish in it 5 rounds of 4 dishes per person are enough. You won’t get hungry home

Negative: Wasabi and Ginger is a dish to order. That should be part of the general stuff for close to 40€ per person the barbecue is a joke. Meat extremely thin. So impossible to get a nice color but still have some red beef inside. The squid was a tube to throw on the grill. No possibility to cut it. The chicken with cheese look not well and tasted like nothing. So skip the BBQ. Not worth it last order the tuna was smelling bad. Had already eaten one flamed tuna Nigiri and immediately tasted something is wrong. Sent the other back as the smell of bad fish was intense. Eaten tuna cared for a nice diarrhea back home. Getting bad fish in a Sushi restaurant where the chef handles that everyday is a absolute no go ordering takes in general quite long even the place was only half full Wakame, ice cream and Sashimi cost extra which is for 38.50€ not acceptable

Hasekura is wonderfully located in the city center of Alkmaar, oppossite the Bloemenschuit near de Mient. It has a warm and stylishly decorated interior (warm reds and and turquoise blue and green). Comfortable booths with plenty of space and comfortable seats and even hooks for your jacket. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. It is an all you can eat restaurant with fair prices. You choose sushi and other typical japanese dishes during rounds from a menu. You can also include to use the grill, which costs extra (2,50€). It is highly recommended for the sheer fun of it and the high quality meat. I can highly recommend Hasekura, certainly when you are craving for BBQ but don't want to eat fat or overeat. They also have plenty of vegetarian...

I'm basically a big deal at this point. Let me tell you, nowhere else in Alkmaar even comes close to respecting their customers like the Hasekura crew do. I call them sir they call me sir, when I compliment the chef they compliment my mother. Highly recommend the baby octopus...simply simply simply lovely. As much as I would like to drink my milkshake in the car again I kind of want to go into the house. Ok Google, ignore that last part. What's that Jeroen?
