Actually it's not quite 5 stars in my opinion but definitely more than 4. Front of house staff is excellent and manages a level of attention and hospitality normally associated with a much more expensive restaurant.

Dishes, I like the concept you can order things in a small or large size and create your own menu. Grilled oysters: bit heavy on the pepper but strangely enough that works really well! Coconut curry soup: warming, creamy, tasty. Very nice. Mackerel and lentils: the best dish of the evening. Really well balanced and the combination works unexpectedly well. Carpaccio: I'd ordered beetroot and got normal. Nothing wrong with it but not exceptional either. Ratatouille burger: no, mistake. The burger patty was ok but the bun was horrible and the whole thing got soggy. That one needs a rethink. Beef courses were done really well. Personally I'm not a fan of dusting shoestring fries with spices but it's trendy. Dessert: I don't think they've quite mastered that yet. It's not bad but seems to lack inspiration.

Pace of the service was a bit slow for me but that could have been due to the horrible chairs.

All in all, nice place, good service, like the small neighborhood feel of the place. I think if they'd rethink the desserts and dump the odd under performing dish they could earn a...

It's been a long time since I've had the pleasure of rating a restaurant with five stars. The interior of the restaurant is inviting and warm. A nice open bar and a great wooden floor. The kitchen can be seen and experienced in the second part of the restaurant. The staff is friendly and fast. Let me repeat that - the staff is friendly and fast! Even after 2 years of covid, the staff has remained friendly, attentive and fast.

Before I ordered I got some bread an aioli which is amongst the best I've had. The carpaccio was fresh and cut from a real side of beef. The main course, the goulash and deer steak, was simply wonderful. Steak tartare is wonderful (hold the truffle mayo for me), the salmon and tuna salad is great and so is the rest of the menu.

I can finally say i found my absolute favorite place in the Netherlands!

The place in itself is super cute and cozy. The food and the wines were excepcional: you could clearly see that the dishes were well thought out (even the marinated olives were amazing!) , they use fresh ingredients and are cooked by skilled chefs. Everything was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The waiter really hyped up the place and they definitely delivered.
