Bagels & Beans — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Being the nearest one to my home I like this Bagels & Beans branch. Compared to many of its other locations, this one feels cozy as it is smaller however don't expect it to be any less busy..there is a tendency of some of the waitresses in here to just stare blankly into your soul. This is something I have observed and experienced in majority of Bagels&Beans including the one in Roeterstraat. As for the products, bagels are really nice, a variety of them is offered. I have liked: +Awesome Prana Bagel: one of the top sold ones. Has hummus, Avocado, Bean sprouts, Pine Nuts. +Cheesecake is really really yum +Latte is served in a huge cup with a lot of foam however it is not very thick in consistency and not the strongest coffee taste. I love my coffee strong and velvety with milk so it is hard to satisfy me. Also it is good to not be extra charged for the milk choice as many places in Amsterdam does that filthy act. +Mochacchino also tastes nice, they use Tony's...

If you are going there to work it's important to know that you cannot use your laptop between 11 and 2pm. They will ask you to close it and put it away.

I bought a coffee and a cake and asked for the wifi and was told that I could not work there. Although this is understandable, I suggested they place a sign on the door to make it clear and the person working there was quite rude when I gave this suggestion. Worst service ever. Waitress kept asking if I wanted something to drink, after I just ordered a cappucino. While I was drinking my next drink, she kept asking me again if I wanted another drink. She kept looking at me and asking me if I wanted anything else to drink. Ive never felt discriminated against but with this girl she crossed a line. There were more people sitting there, and she never asked anyone else if they wanted a drink. I know because I even asked the tables next to me. Dont know if it was her first day or anything but this didnt sit right...
