Bagels & Beans — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Terrible service (from the owner, the waitresses were friendly). I thought I was an exception, perhaps she was on a bad day, but now seeing so many reviews of similar cases, I now realize that unfortunately the rude/crazy attitude is their business-as-usual. I had 2 breakfast menus with a friend, and he left after 40min or so. I stayed 1h longer working on my laptop. All tables had a sign “no laptops” (which I have never seen before in my life), so after eating I moved to the one communal table were laptops were allowed. So far it was fine, but then the owner asked if I wanted another thing. I said no, thanks. Half an hot later, she came again, and I replied one more that I didn’t want anything else, and she said: ARE YOU GOING TO STAY HERE THE WHOLE DAY??? I was shocked, as I had spent almost EUR 15 and I was the only person at a table that could fit 8 people, and there were almost 10 tables free (occupancy rate should be around 30%). If they were at full capacity, I would have left to free up space, but even in that case she should have been more polite. I went to this location because I had a membership discount and decided to try. I go to Bagels & Beans quite often for a brunch. This was my first time in this particular one and I just expected similar quality and service, being a franchise. To our surprise it took them almost 45 minutes to get bagels for five people in a barely crowded day, and I counted at least four (very nice and polite) waitresses. Sat outside, owner took my order (bagel & coffee). After waiting for 30 minutes I went inside to ask about my order. The same lady (owner) didn't even recognize me, and said "oh well, something must've gone wrong". This place is a joke. What makes it even more annoying: I actually went inside initially to order to save them a round-trip to the outside terrace. But I was told to just sit outside and they'll come.
