A Delightful Experience at Bake My Day!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bake My Day during my trip to Amsterdam, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked goods that instantly made me feel at home.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, guiding me through their extensive menu of delicious pastries, breads, and other baked delights. I decided on a croissant and a cup of their house blend coffee, and I was not disappointed. The croissant was perfectly flaky and buttery, while the coffee was rich and flavorful.
But what truly set Bake My Day apart was the atmosphere. The cozy, rustic decor and the soft background music created a relaxing environment that was perfect for enjoying my breakfast. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the bakery and the measures they took to ensure the safety and health of their customers.
In conclusion, my visit to Bake My Day was a highlight of my trip to Amsterdam. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a truly delightful experience. I highly recommend Bake My Day to anyone looking for a quality bakery...
Read moreI enjoyed the food and the coffee. The staff was also very upbeat (singing along to the music) and pleasant.
I'd come back and recommend it to friends.
Note: you must have a local bank card (Maestro) or cash. Visa/MC/Amex not accepted.
So, why 4/5 stars?
Had an apple strudel (delicious, highly recommend), and the woman heated it in the oven, but the middle was frigid when served to me - not just lukewarm (sitting out at room temperature), but noticeably cold.
Also, they served this delicious roll that they couldn't tell me the name of, which I'd like to know because it was amazing.
The topper: they insist on cash or Maestro, but they don't have enough coins on hands to make change. If you're going to be a cash business, then you've got to have cash on hand to make change. I ended up slightly over paying but not by enough that I'm upset about it. It's just annoying. So, here's a tip: come with cash and enough coins to make the exact amount...
Read moreCute place. We came the first time for coffee and were not too impressed. The cappuccino was really a latte. But the food looked good and we decided to come the next day (today). We got here soon after opening. I was hoping that the coffee would be different. No joy. See the picture. We ordered latte and cappuccino. I am not going to say how many of each. Can you spot a difference? I certainly could not, and they all had the same flavor. We had a ham and cheese pancake and two turkey bacon, egg and cheese croissants. They had looked so good behind the glass. Alas, disappointing. The bacon was the best (and the only hot part) of the croissants. The cheese was not melted and the eggs and croissant were essentially room temperature. The pancake was fine, nothing extraordinary. My final verdict: Cute place. Nice people. A lot of potential. Needs folks with experience and expertise in making espresso containing coffees and properly...
