MissB by la grotte — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I am a restaurant expert and if I could put 0 ⭐️ I would love to! This place totally ruined my mood and outraged me with ignorance of their barmen. He doesn’t know English! How it’s is possible in the centrum of Amsterdam?!

I came around 17:15 and asked what can I eat. They gave me a menu. I asked: Do you make pork burgers? They answered: Yes. Then I said: I don't eat pork. And straight away: oh, our burger is beef. So ! They don't even know what their patties are made of! And they don’t care about customers at all. I sat down, ordered a cocktail, asked for it to be stronger, to which the bartender looked at me disapprovingly. As a result, the cocktail tasted like water with ice. Employees loudly talking near guests. WC is underground and dirty; there you can easily hit your head. Then I saw how someone smoking weed inside!!! At 17:44 this rude barmen said : Hey, miss we gonna closed in 10 min. So let’s pay! It surprised me, because this place works till 23:00!!! When I touched a pin machine, he said very rude : I don’t see anything, why your phone doesn’t pay? He can’t even quietly wait until my secure codes...

I had a wonderful time at Coffeeshop La Grotte in Haarlemmerstraat, Amsterdam. The place offers a cozy and tranquil atmosphere, and the coffee is delicious. I enjoyed sitting there and working on my laptop on a Sunday morning.

However, there is one aspect that needs improvement, which is the availability of electrical outlets. There was only one outlet on the wall, making it challenging to plug in additional electronic devices. It would be beneficial if more electrical outlets are provided in the establishment to facilitate the use of personal devices for all visitors.

Aside from that, the service and experience were excellent, and I appreciate the ambiance and the great coffee they offer. I hope my suggestion for more electrical outlets will be considered to enhance the customer experience and make the visit more comfortable and convenient for everyone. I would happily return in the future. Thank you for the hospitality...

I had high hopes for MissB by La Grotte, but unfortunately, it was a major letdown. We arrived early for the scheduled 10am opening, only to be made to wait outside in the cold for over 30 minutes after the restaurant had officially opened. The reason? The chef was late. It was frustrating and unprofessional to be kept waiting in the cold with just an apology.

Once we were finally seated, the service was just as disappointing. The staff seemed disorganized and inattentive, which only made the whole experience worse. As for the food, it didn’t live up to the hype. It was mediocre at best and not worth the price.

Given the poor service and lackluster food, I won’t be coming back. There are plenty of other places in Amsterdam that offer better service and a more enjoyable...
