VAN GOGH STUDIO — Attraction in Amsterdam

This is a case of caveat emptor. My rating is on the inexpensive (popular) line of product offered by Van Gogh Studio. I paid €500 for a copy of “Irises” from its inventory. The studio does offer a premium line that costs thousands of euros (~€10,000) for each replica but I haven’t looked at them myself and it is for an owner to write a review. For my purchase, I am hanging it in a spare bedroom and not in the living room so that it is away from my friends most of the time. Perhaps it is more appropriate for a hotel room. The work is done by someone who doesn’t know how to paint.

I was very wary of buying reproductions of fine art on the Internet and did a lot of research before buying. I am thrilled with the three paintings that I have bought from Van Gogh Studio. I was so happy with the first one (Japonaiserie Bridge in the Rain), that I bought two more (Japonaiserie Flowering Plum Tree and Blossoming Almond Tree). We ordered a big reproduction of Starry Night. While we waited for the reproduction to be painted for us, Erik, with whom we communicated, was very thoughtful and helpful, updating us on the progress and providing us with the estimate when the painting will be done. When painting was finished, shipping process went better than I could have expected, in just a couple of days the painting was in our possession.
