Booven — Restaurant in Amsterdam

We enjoyed a light lunch in Booven after a visit to the Cruyff Arena. The funny green building on stilts in the middle of the mall that offers all sorts of different sandwiches, paninis, coffees, juices and sweet treats. We seemed to get in right before the rush and were served by a young lady who asked very politely if she could serve us in English as she was learning. As English people we were happy to oblige 😂 she was very sweet and seemed very happy when she realised we were actually from England! The young lady was very attentive and friendly and later we were served by an older gentleman who too was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed a Goats cheese, honey and pine nut panini and my husband a Chicken and Bacon club. We both had coffees (good coffee!) and two of the nicest smoothies - strawberry and yogurt and strawberry and mango with orange. We were very pleased that we happened upon Booven! Little cosy...

Chose to visit Booven 18th November, after reading rave reviews. It did not disappoint! The manager Luke is an absolute delight. So friendly and personable with everyone, and what a sense of humour. It is evident this ethos runs throughout the whole team, who were equally as attentive and hospitable. A credit to Amsterdam and Holland. Enjoyed a selection of sandwiches, which we'd planned to take some of them away, but we were enjoying the ambiance and setting of the resturant too much! Recommend the meatball and spicy chicken ones. Various breads available, and all equally delicious. Thank you Luke and the team, for such a positive experience. We visited on Sunday 23/10 @ lunch time with our little one. The team on duty that day were fantastic, from the young lady that welcomed us and been kid friendly to our little one ,while she asked for a juice and been shy at the same time. To the service , food presentation & taste . The team worked well on the floor covering each other, if one was held up talking to a guest/ menu query. This was our second visit here,the first time was back in 2019. It was nice experience back then. Menu's available in English. Background music was mixed popular tunes- liked it.
