Café Treffers — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Ordered a coffee and a bikini cheese. The coffee tasted like water. The bikini however came 15 min later, with pork. Then when I called him back to mention the pork he got upset. So I cancelled the order and had to pay 4 euro for a very poor cup of coffee I never finished. Given the waiters attitude I felt mentioning the bad coffee quality would not enrich his awareness, but raise a discussion. And I went for a walk to enjoy the day....

A nice local bar. Great atmosphere when Ajax and Netherlands and playing. Alex is a lovely chap. Very welcoming and hospitable. As are the rest of the team. The owners are amazing too, always welcoming and say hi and chat for whenever we are in. Nice people watching area outside. The anticipation of the bridge to go up and the carnage of Cyclists, Mopeds, Trams, Cars all going for it when the bridge settles. Well...

Absolutely loved this place. It’s inspired by an old-fashioned bar, but there’s nothing outdated about it—quite the opposite. The vibe is fresh, cozy, and welcoming. The service was some of the warmest I’ve experienced in Europe—truly top-notch. If you’re in the area, you should definitely stop by for a drink.
