Studiekring Amsterdam - OBA — Attraction in Amsterdam

There was a TRUMPET concert in this branch of the city public library last week... Great place if you like studying to the sound of screaming babies and librarians chatting so loudly at the desk, like, right Now, that you can hear every word they're saying... Don't even Think about asking them to lower their voices!

It is The place for hipster parents who don't have enough money to qualify as yuppies to dump toddlers they don't know how to raise in a large, public concrete box and let them yell, cry, run around, rip pages out of books (hey, they are too young to read) incredible! It seems very much them taking revenge on the rest of the world for the non existing parenting skills.

This library branch is an effing Nightmare to work in. Perhaps the architects who designed this place are stone deaf... the only possible explanation. The people who thought this was good idea should be chained to chairs and forced to work here.... Oh yes....

The blond librarian working here today just accused me of ''Looking at her" "You are giving me dirty looks ", "Jij kijkt mij mij vuil aan", so don't even look in their direction... according to her '' This library is an ''experience'' ''een belevenis'' If you'd prefer to work in a genuine library try the UB, the university library on...

I advise everybody to take the trouble and go to the central library and avoid this place. I may look pretty, but the people that work here are a pain in the ss. Simply ask them a question and they treat you like you insult them, wake them from their slumber. I tried several times to print a document here, but every time they tell a different story. But of course I am the stupid guy, that doesn't understand how you're supposed to approach them. Actually I think they use this place for unemployed women to get used to working in an office. As a boss I would avoid hiring any of them and as a customer I would avoid this place at all times. Try it at your own risk,...

Awful library literally sitting in one the computer spot to work on my own laptop because there is no other place to sit down. And nobody wanna use the predifined laptop. So the really rude Librarian asked me to leave in an awful manner even though there is no other place to sit and work. Such a bad place...
