I’m a local and visit once a week. Oat lattes are the best ones in the area*, their cakes (carrot cake, brownie and cheesecake) are also good. The place is kinda small and usually p busy, I think they should utilise the upstairs area, especially for people who wanna sit down with laptops. Service is a hit or miss, usually they’re nice, but sometimes disorganised and kinda ignoring you at the till …? Cake portions have been fair but last time we bought carrot cake it was the thinnest little slice I’ve ever had. Still not sure if it’s the new portion or if they just mistakenly cut it that thin (bread slice thin) cause they usually had been twice the thickness.

EDIT 24 SEPTEMBER 2023 *They sadly changed their oat milk and I don’t enjoy their coffees anymore. Save yourself a hassle and don’t visit during the weekends cause it’s super busy. Had to wait about 15min...

I have no idea how this cafe got such a high rating. I went only once, but the service was slow and disinterested, despite there only being 3 customers. However, the ladies were not unpleasant. My wife's earl grey tea was pre-prepared and cold. However, it was the coffee that literally made me gag. I have lived on and off for the past 15 years in Italy and I take my coffee very seriously. However, I am not that picky when outside of southern Italy as coffee tends to be rather mediocre. However, I had a takeaway double espresso and literally had to spit it out. It was so bad that I had to throw it away. I have had better coffee on RyanAir than here. I am happy to consider that this was a one off, but I am not going back to find out. Espressofabriek was my favourate speciality coffee house when visiting Amsterdam. This morning I asked for a V60 pour over, the young lady serving me tried to fob me off with a batch brew, I insisted on a V60 and gave my reasons, reluctantly she obliged (they have all the right kit for a V60). It was very disappointing, ratios were wrong, way to much water added. For a coffee roaster and cafe who produce great coffee beans, this was disappointing. Attitude was not good, I felt guilty having to insist on my V60, kind of odd in a speciality coffee house. Staff need training! Don't offer V60 if you can't deliver excellence.
