Fitz's Bar Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Very lovely place, a feeling fo a speakeasy. The inspiration is the roaring 20's in America, kinda gentlemen cigar private club.

Pitty they do not have a wardrobe but only discrete cloth hangers (but also limit, way too little for the amount of occupation amount). Seats are lovely comfy. Lighting is nice and good but pitty the innovative wireless table lamps are a too bright. Love the paintings.

The staff is very lovely, the garment of the staff is from the 20's American bar style. The service is really nowadays 5 star hotel level but still chill not too tight. The food and drink service is a bit slow but they do take their time but still healthy level of service. Also nice service with water and olives (no seeds) and chips(think home made). 3.5/10 not thst high but good level due to it is not surprising enough for me to give that high points.

The prices are good for the environment in a 5 star hotel in Amsterdam. Finger food prices are also good. The menu of the cocktails are good selection but would more innovativeness. Signatures are maybe a bit too simple and not surprising enough. The drinks are good proper done, with good preparation show. Drinks I can just give a 2/10 due to innovativeness. 2/10 as I could get those drinks anywhere else for a slightly better price, maybe not the show but still need some work to do in the bar.

Overall, will I come back... Well yeah but maybe not directly for a cocktail. I wil come back for the service, the steak tartar (good handcut ones good seasoning) and the environment. Last but not least there is only one occupation of bathroom for each sex. Love it inside but the toiletpaper is very low quality what you get on economy airplane or 2 star hotels, pity when you have all things thought out so well and it is a 5 star hotel....

This place for me is by far the best cocktail bar in Amsterdam for many angles / reasons! A) the service: top notch! Each time i’m there, the service excellence, the gentle, kind and human centric approach of every single mixologist and team members there deserve a big applause! Every single one there are ready to listen & make you feel comfortable! B) the ambiance: if you like roaring 20s mixed with a modern touch, here’s the place. ‘Gezellig’ for winter, sparkling for summer (ps: there might be a little surprising rooftop!) ;) C) team: oh my! Mixologists, you do an awesome job not only creating the most pleasing potions but also the way you interact with people, truly listen, get to know what they like and do suggest cocktails that hit the nail in the head, all fully deserve a big big credit! Luca, you are the bringer of light as your name suggests and the sweetest: a bright example that shows how to do something with heart and soul combined! 🫶🏼 D) last but not least, cocktails of course! I came to Fitz's Bar across two separate nights and neither evening disappointed. They were sure to provide the same white-glove service regardless of how busy the night was.

For anyone that is feeling adventurous, I highly recommend the "In the dream of someone else" cocktail (short glass drink pictured) which was crafted by the talented Giovanni and Luca. It was smooth, light, and full of flavour.

After listening to their journey, both have studied cocktails across different cities around the globe and top restaurants. In addition to that, they were both getting ready to compete in national cocktail competitions.

I truly was inspired by their passion to take cocktail craftsmanship to the next level. As someone who's always up for the bartender's choice, they did not disappoint.
