We were regulars to this restaurant. Some months ago, the owner changed and we visited this restaurant again. Everything has changed this time. After 1.5 hour later they still could not bring the food. I asked about the delay and he said that there were big groups, everything was delayed. I complained about the change in the service with the previous owner. He took it very offensive, he asked me to leave if I want to. He said several times that I am free to leave. I had 4 guests with me, i did not want to ruin the evening although they were already hungry after 1.5 hour of waiting. When the main dish was served, thewe was no rice or serving spoon to share. All I wanted was a more sympathetic apology, not giving me the option to leave. I can’t take this rudeness. Read moreI highly reccomend to try Hetsal whenever you are craving real authentic food. The restaurant itself is so cozy and calm. The service was so good the owner and other people working there are so kind and friendly, making sure you are having a good experience.

I had the bibimbap with beef tartare, and my girlfriend ordered kimchi jjigae (spicy kimchi soup). Both were excellent, and we also shared a seafood pancake as an appetizer, which was really tasty. The food felt very authentic (according to my girlfriend, who knows more about Korean cuisine), and the prices were also quite reasonable for the quality.
It’s definitely worth going a little out of the center of Amsterdam to try this place. Highly...
