Avoid this restaurant unless you want to be disappointed and overpay for bland food. When we arrived, we were surprised to find out we needed to take a menu, even though online it mentioned à la carte courses. Opting for 2 courses, we expected to pay less than the 3-course option at 65 euros. The first course, a shareable portion for 6 plates (70 euros total for 2 people) was surprisingly small for the price. There was no high-quality produce justifying the cost, and the food was basic and desperately needed salt. The second course, truffle risotto, was equally disappointing—bland, unsalted, wet rice instead of the expected creamy texture. After requesting extra cheese, the dish improved slightly. To our astonishment, the bill came to a total of 236 euros for 2 people, including a 40-euro wine bottle and water. (Bill pictured in this review)

When I questioned the waitress about the pricing, she insisted it was normal, and when I asked about the mention of antipasti twice on the bill, she brushed it off. We were taken aback. After paying, I insisted there must be a mistake—how could it be almost 100 euros per person for food when the price was stated as 65 for 3 courses? Moreover, we weren't informed that truffle was an extra cost, despite it not being mentioned on the menu. No card was given, and all dishes were stated orally.

After pressing the issue, the waitress (Isabelle) continued to be condescending, claiming that the main course was the most expensive. It seemed she couldn't grasp that 2 courses shouldn't be 35 euros more expensive than the 3-course menu. Finally, they acknowledged the mistake—they had added appetizers twice—and came with 70 euros in cash for a refund. There was no apology, no discount, and no complimentary service to make up for this significant error. As we left, we realized they had sneakily taken back the receipt, presumably to avoid us having proof. Fortunately, I had taken a photo of it.

Trust me when I say I have a discerning palate and have dined at many incredible restaurants worldwide. This place, despite attempting to emulate Italian cuisine, falls short. The food is basic, bland, and overpriced. This establishment feels like a cash grab, pushing you to spend more money. Run away, and don't be deceived by...

I want to share my experience at this restaurant, and I must say it was quite disappointing. When we got there, we were surprised to find out we needed to choose a menu, even though online it said there were à la carte options. We decided on a 2-course meal, thinking it would be cheaper than the 3-course option at 65 euros. The first course was a shared portion for two people that cost 70 euros in total, and it was surprisingly small for the price. The quality of the ingredients didn't match the cost, and the food was pretty basic and needed more seasoning.

The second course, truffle risotto, was also not great. It was bland. When we got the bill, it was a whopping 236 euros for two people, including a 40-euro bottle of wine and water.

When I asked the waitress about the pricing, she said it was normal. I also asked about the double charge for antipasti on the bill, but she brushed it off. After we paid, I couldn't believe it was almost 100 euros per person for food when the 3-course menu was supposed to be 65 euros.

When I brought up the issue, the waitress (Isabelle) was kind of rude and said the main course was the most expensive. She didn't seem to get that 2 courses shouldn't be 35 euros more than the 3-course menu. Eventually, they admitted they made a mistake and gave us 70 euros in cash as a refund. But there was no apology, no discount, and nothing to make up for the big error.

As an Italian I would like to say this place is mediocre at best. It taste as if a dutch person who has been Italy once was inspired and opened a restaurant. Definitely not authentic and definitely not worth the price. I recommend any other choice of Italian restaurants in Amsterdam which are most likely more authentic and...

We went to the restaurant after rave reviews online however do not be fooled. The atmosphere in restaurant is beautiful. However, the noise and sound control was beyond comfortable. You could not hear yourself talk or think and you could not hear the waiter. The service was excellent. They were attentive and on task. and the wait staff was very accommodating. As far as the food, it was a large disappointment. We have traveled and enjoyed many restaurants, including a wonderful restaurant in Utrecht. We had veggie selection and fish option. The vegetables were disappointing, unflavored and at times not edible. With all the wonderful vegetables in the world, the choices, this restaurant picked for vegetables was very uncreative. Some of the sauces were good. The fish came with cabbage only and a few potatoes. certainly for the price they had could’ve added more interesting vegetables. The flavor of the fish was enjoyable however, most of the fish had bones in it, so half of it was not edible. On a bright side, the dessert was delicious. Finally, we had coffee at the conclusion of the meal this was an up charge and not drinkable. It had coffee grounds in it and was thick and horrible tasting. Finally, we left hungry and disappointed. We had two glasses of wine and coffee. The bill with the tip was €180 and we left wondering how the restaurant keeps as busy as it does. Beware there are wonderful restaurants in Amsterdam. This is not...

Had a descent diner. Let me break it down. Crudo di manzo: 5/10. Extremely boring and basic. Nothing particularly wrong with it but the characterlessness of the plate was too heavy. Melanzane parmigiana: 6.8/10. Plate had a lot of potential but went wrong with seasoning. Too bland. Porro arosto: 8/10. This was perhaps one of the best dishes we had. Well balanced - good seasoned and fresh ingredients. It worked. Risotto calamari: 3/10. Don’t let me start about this risotto. The risotto was undercooked, tasted questionable and the calamari did imo not taste fresh. Doubted several times to send it back, but was too hungry to let it go. Thankfully I didn’t post a photo of the crying risotto. But see other reviews if you’re curious. Pesce del Giorno/Agnello arrosto: 8.2/10. Both the dishes were (at this moment; surprisingly) quite tasty. A total contrast with the risotto and startes, the mains were everything you expected but on the other hand also not exceptional. Tiramisu: 7.3/10. Solid tiramisu, did not disappoint at all. A bit too heavy on the liquor but that is subjective. Atmosphere and service: decent and depends on your table. Overall verdict: be picky with the starters, SKIP the risotto and stick with the mains. Price/quality ratio: acceptable. Will I recommend? Not necessarily.

This restaurant have a retro feel with white table cloth and napkins. Rather rare nowadays. There’s tables at the sidewalk for people to have drinks and chat. They are the usual wooden chairs and small tables. Once inside the restaurant, the clean wall space, retro lighting and table cloths exuded a classy vibe. Small menu that covers the meat, seafood dishes. Despite the serving staff shortage, this place had a decent amount of attentive staff. And they were knowledgeable and friendly. The seafood crudo was very fresh with some sliced red chili which made it spicy. Ask them to omit the chili for a more balanced flavor. The meat crudo is basically steak tartare with a mix of beef and pancetta. It was delicious. Grilled leeks were ok. Fish of the day came deboned and slightly overcooked. Not a good looking dish. Stuffed artichoke hearts was ok. The artichoke hearts were a bit overcooked and stuffing was dry. Edible by washing it down with wine. Tiramisu was ok. Big portion made up for the mediocre meal.
