Don't book a stay with the Nadia Hotel. I will tell you why. I originally booked a stay from the 4th to the 5th of may. Due to an unnanounced change work related, I had to change my stay from the 3rd to the 4th of may. Sounds easy enough ; I asked for a change through the booking website. The Nadia Hotel refused the change but explained in an email that they had vacancy and that the change was possible. Surprised, I called the Nadia Hotel, and they confirmed that they had vacancy for the new dates but couldn't proceed to change them, I would have to call booking. I called booking. The first time, after 17mn, the call disconnected. The second time, they told me THEY had to call the Nadia Hotel to check the vacancy and it was not a problem. I then received an email from booking saying that the Nadia Hotel was full for the dates I was asking, so now I had to cancel my stay. It was a non refundable booking, but the website booking told me to ask for an exception from the Nadia Hotel, due to these exceptional circumstances.  I wrote to the Nadia Hotel 4 times, without answer. I finally called them again, they told me they would take care of it. They didn't. I called again, talked to the manager, who told me he now had vacancy, after that he told me he would take care of it, and refund me as asked, and he told me to call back after 5pm. I called back after 5 pm. A lady told me she would look into it and that she would reply to booking so that I would have a refund. Then later I received an email saying the following : " We're very sorry for not replying earlier to you. Unfortunately when cancelling your reservation, there will be no refund. We can offer you a date change within half a year. Please choose a new date and let us know within 24 hours. We will contact Booking. Com this time. Hope to have informed you well." So I lost 124 euros, hours of my time and energy to dishonest people. Don't book a stay at Nadia Hotel, you will save money,  time and energy....

We booked a double room for two nights in this lovely hotel and we couldn't be luckier!

Brace yourself for STEEP stairs as soon as you cross the entrance, but trust me, it will be very much worth it as soon as you made it! A super nice girl welcomed us in the hall, she gifted us a map of Amsterdam, hand sanitizer-gel, free first drink and candies. After waiting for a few minutes our room was ready. Fridge, security safe, hair dryer, water boiler and tv were included, same for breakfast which we could request every morning (it usually would've been provided in a different room but because of Covid19 restrictions it got brought directly to ours). Our room was really simple and cozy, not the biggest but the very best to spend the night! (The bathroom might be tiny for someone but it is still practical and clean towels are provided too). We had the freedom to request room cleaning while we were out and we always found fresh cheese + orange juice in the fridge together with plates, cutlery and all the necessary for a good breakfast on the little desk placed in front of the bed (Nutella, jam, coffee powder and more).

The location of the hotel is really in handy, close to the center, shopping streets of the city and the train station. The hall is opened 24/7 and keys must be left there anytime you feel like leaving your room. Everything came for an incredibly fair price and we couldn't be happier of our choice!! Our stay was short but we're sure we'll book a room in this hotel anytime we'll visit...

Me and my friend checked out in this hotel just earlier today and what I can say is that, as first timers in Amsterdam, we did not have a hard time finding the hotel. It is conveniently located near the tram stop/station, close to the Anne Frank House, restaurants and coffee shops. We had the perfect view, a room with balcony and the canal.

Don’t get tired of the stairs. It’s steep and high but for me, it’s manageable. Get a little bit of exercise along the way. No need to worry about bringing your things up and down because they’ll help you with it. They even allow you to put your things in the storage room in case you need some time to be in the city after you checked out.

The room is not large, just alright for 2 people, complete toilet and bath, towels, hot shower, and toiletries (tissue and body wash). Nice and comfortable double sized bed with soft pillows. Do not expect an AC, you’ll get a nice cold breeze of air by opening your windows, or you can also use the electric fan provided. There’s kettle, mug, coffee and tea as refreshments. And also, tap water is safe to drink.

About the breakfast, it’s free with the room, but do not expect much. Breads, coffee, jam, yogurt, cheese and maybe 2-3 kinds of fruit is all there is. A light breakfast perhaps.

Overall, if you will be on tour most of the time, just a regular room with window is fine, no need to upgrade. It was a pleasant and quite stay and the location is...

This is the view from my balcony, this alone makes the price more than worth it. Great Hotel, best possible use made of all of the space. Its a traditional looking hotel, tight staircase and all wooden panels. The building itself was designed by van gant and has amazing animals in and on the stonework outside. We were well looked after by the staff and any concerns were delt with immediately, the staff are all happy to help with any and all questions. Breakfast was part of the deal too, but this wasn't 5* like the rest of the hotel service, due to corona virus restrictions closing the breakfast room, making for a dry breakfast of bread and the available portions of jam ect. Even a toaster would have sorted that minor issue. The room itself was lovely, made up everyday. Inside our room the traditional Dutch style with wooden shelves and panelling. There were mirrors in the right places to easily check one's appearance from any angle also. The balcony was beautiful and quite spacious with relaxing chairs and amazing metalwork rails. Blankets for use to keep you warm at night Well worth the price, only 5 mins from damrak, I definitely would visit again

From looking at the other reviews that were left, it is clear that the hotel responds to feedback, which to me is the most positive thing about hotel Nadia, as they clearly want to improve. When we were greeted he had our bags taken up the stairs for us and straight to our rooms which was very useful because the stairs really are steep! However the stairs are typical of many Dutch houses, not Nadia hotel. The night of our stay coincided with our one year wedding anniversary. We told Nadia hotel but had no expectations. To our surprise, we had our room upgraded! Which was so nice after a day of travelling. The room was clean, tidy and even had a balcony with a nice view of the church! I would advise that you bring earplugs to sleep, as trams can be loud and he church sounds until midnight and starts again at 06:00. One other thing which didn’t hinder our experience, but is a point to be made is that the room design seems ‘confused’. By this I mean that it’s not a regular shape, and there are many different shades of wood. But those are my only bad points. A great experience for the price and location.
