Meram - Amsterdam Oost Cafe — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Ok place to grab a drink or eat something for the "smokers". If you hate smoking then avoid this place because this is not something for you. The average age there is usually between 20-35, it's by no means a family place. The place is known for smoking a shisha /hookah / water pipe, but the quality is very disappointing. This used to be one of my favorite places to go and smoke a shisha because the price was very good and affordable and the shisha was nice to smoke, but the last half year or so the quality of the shisha went from a 7 to a 4 and sometimes a 3. If you are looking for a good shisha and only want that, then look elsewhere. If you want to grab a quick drink and eat something quick then this place is ok. The big pro here is they offer free parking spots...

The waiters were slow, unfriendly and the orders took very long to arrive (also forgot our order several times). The shisha wasn't very good, especially for 17.5€. Same thing with the Shoarma schotel, the meat was dry and bland and definitely not worth 10.5€. One good thing was the Turkish tea. Unfortunately a dissapointing visit overall. Staff was good. He charged me wrong amount and i also paid without checking but he returned me the difference. Food was okey. Fries were top class. Salad was really bad. I could see that salad was rotten. Lettuce was brown, that shows how old it could have been. Never trust the salad from this place. Meat was raw.
