Been here for Valentine’s dinner. The service was really on-point and the waiter did an amazing job but sadly the food was just alright, not outstanding. I’ve been eating in many vegan restaurants all around Europe but unfortunately I won’t remember Mr. & Mrs. Watson as one of the best. The course I liked the most was surprisingly the dessert and the cheese (as you would expect from this place). The main course was quite boring and the soup missed flavor. I guess this is the risk you run when having a fixed menu for the night. What I really didn’t like was the placement of the tables for a Valentine’s dinner. There was no intimacy at all as we were way too close to the next tables. This is, in my opinion, the worst mistake you can make on the most “romantic day” of the year. Instead of trying to earn more money, they should think about the comfort of the customers instead. I will probably give it another shot for another regular day, but I won’t be back on Valentine’s.

I had been waiting to go to Mr & Mrs Watson for a few months and never managed to book a table on my previous visits. Delighted I managed to get one outside on Friday the 23rd of September. The restaurant has almost a tapas style selection of things which are all exceptionally well curated, go well together and tasted amazing! We had half the menu and not a single thing wasn’t delicious. I may be biased because I am vegan however the party I was with is not and he also said it was one of the best meals he’s had in a while… Book a table and support this amazing establishment at the forefront of the plant based cheese revolution. It’s a must for any vegan, please drag your carnivore friends along and show them plant-based is doable and delicious and the ‘but muh cheese’ is a non issue ! 👏🏻🙃

Great restaurant, but pricey. We had a great evening. As a starter we shared the cheese platter CHARCUTERIE ET FROMAGE. And this was exceptional. Very delicious! Every component was perfect. As main we had the grilled steak burger and the cheese fondue. Both were very good. since we also shared our mains, it was fine, but just the fondue wouldn't have satisfied us. It's good, the "cheese" sauce was yummy but not really cheesy. Next time we would have ordered just the cheese platter and the burger, since both were satisfactory, comfy food, and we would have been full with just those two! Overall very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We would definitely recommend! But beware, payment only by card and pretty expensive ( because of the homemade cheeses etc. )

We were really looking forward to visit this place after reading the good reviews and passing by every now and then. We had a table reserved for two, but it appeared that they hadn't even bothered to think about where they would sit us. After finding a table, we were waiting for the menu for about 10 minutes until finally I asked the waitress to bring some. One of the menus was dirty on the inside in a way that the pages had stuck together, which is not a big deal, but certainly not pleasant. We weren't in a rush, but the restaurant also wasn't busy at all and it seemed that the waitresses had just forgotten about us. We were pleasantly surprised with very small, I am talking here two 1x2cm ginger bread bites, which were very tasty. Next up came the starter, which as per other reviews was really good. It consisted of 3 different homemade cheeses, cauliflower soup, an aubergine waffle and a bruschetta with 'egg' salad. The cheeses were something exceptional. All of them had quite distinct different flavors and it immediately urged us to make some on our own when we return home. The cauliflower soup on the other hand tasted like apple jam with celery, which is not necessarily bad, but the taste of cauliflower was completely lost. All in all the starters brought back our high expectations. This is when it took a turn for the worse. We finished the starter and kept waiting and waiting and waiting for the main dish, until it finally was brought to us some 40 minutes later. What got me angry was that a table of 4 without a reservation who came in about half an hour later got their main dishes minutes 10 earlier than we did. Some of them had ordered the same things we had, so the complexity of the dish couldn't have been a problem. Again it just added to the feeling that the waiters had forgotten about us. We ordered Sloppy Joe and Cashew Fondue. The Fondue was undersalted and with way too much wine to the point that the first bite was actually quite off-putting. After adding a bit of salt it was more on the edible side. On the side there were some slices of sweet potatoes, bitter brussel sprouts, which comes from incorrectly cooking them, and some bread. At this point we were just giggling about this evening, luckily both of us were in a very good mood. The Sloppy Joe was okay, the filling felt like it was made in the morning and then just overcooked in the heat of keeping it warm. Definitely not a main dish I would pay 17 euros again. We had also ordered deserts, but with the long waiting times in between all of the orders there was just no time left till the restaurant closes, so we canceled those. Bear in mind that we arrived at 9pm and it closes at 11pm. Judging by the other reviews maybe we were...

Unfortunately we had a bit of a disappointment. I was very excited for this place and to try the cheese they seem to be pretty famous for. We booked a table in advance, when we got there they didn't have our table ready because they had had more people walking in than normal or something like that. The couple that arrived after us who also had a booking got their table straight away though. We were asked to come back in a bit so we went next door for a drink. We came back and got our table (it is now 45 minutes later than we had booked our table for). We ordered pretty much straight away and got our starter to share (the waffle, it was nice). We then waited for another 45 minutes without food while others who had arrived after us was getting theirs (looking like the same dish we had ordered). We asked about our food and saying that we had been waiting for quite a while, the waitress went off without really saying much and we then waited for another 10 minutes without a word before we decided to leave. They did apologise on our way out and obviously we didn't pay for the starter and drinks. Our booking was at 8, we left at 10 without having eaten. It seems like a nice place and we were possibly just unlucky but we were very disappointed leaving and had to get junk food on our way back to the hotel instead :/ we started wondering if they had something against tourists because we were so unlucky.. haha! Hope others have been luckier visiting here. Might go back some time and try again still!

EDIT:

The restaurant had actually emailed us to explain how we got so unlucky last night. They explained and invited us back for a meal on the house. Very much appreciated and confirmed our belief that we were just unlucky. We hope to make it back for a meal either in this...

GOOD: We had a really nice meal delivered. Burgers were tasty. Service was amazing. Considering our initial order 2 weeks earlier had been cancelled after a 2 hour wait. They really went through a LOT of hoops to make us happy and we got this meal for free. I believe them when they said the cancelled order was not their choice, but something gone wrong with Deliveroo. Because they really, really, really, really went the extra mile here.

We had 1x Chef Andrej + 2 burgers Fries: Fries were nice. Roasted Vegetables were tasty. Tempura Teriyaki: Nice, but considering this was mainly mushrooms and more vegetables it was kind of the same as the roasted vegges, just with a crunch. Side Salad this was mainly a massive blob of humus with some leaves of iceberg salad, not too impressive.

All in all though I was not too impressed. Although the food was nice, considering we would have normally paid 75 euros for this meal (including 3 beers) I was disappointed about the Quality/price ratio.

These were not even close to the best vegan burgers I've had. The side dishes were good, but not great considering the price point.

Considering we only had 1 full meal + 2 extra burgers and 3 beers.. 75 euros is a hefty price for take away food that's not absolutely amazing.. because lets face it.. it's 25 euro per person.. and we didn't even order 3 full meals...

I really wanted to make this an amazing review after all the trouble they went through (Thanks Kirsi) to get us this meal and make up for the initial failed delivery... but unfortunately I am also not willing to lie about my experience.

It's a good meal and tasty and definitely worth a go, but I won't be ordering here again soon at this...
