Poké Perfect — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Disappointed by the food and would not recommend spending your money here.

I ordered two poke bowls and I was disappointed to taste that the rice was hard (like when you eat leftover rice after a day of being in the fridge), the carrot was quite dry, and the avocado was brown (I paid an extra 1€ for 1/4 of an avocado which I couldn’t even eat). I ordered both bowls with wasabi mayo and I did not enjoy the sauce as it was grainy and I could not even taste the wasabi, however the spicy sensation was still there. As for the employees, the staff was neither rude nor welcoming.

I’m upset by the quality decrease as I used to be a client of Poké Perfect for 4 years now, however I did not enjoy it this time. I hope they pay more attention to the products being fresh and they improve on the quality of their rice and make the wasabi mayo taste more like kewpiew mayo perhaps. This place used to be good, but it went down so much, which is a shame. We picked up our “The Witzel” and ate at home. A few things that I’m particularly disappointed about this poke bowl: there should be avocado (sliced as they advertised), but nowhere to be found; the sauce is off, too sweet and sour; it’s spicy (I’m all for spicy food but it’s just bland spicy with no flavor); it has an odd bitter taste (can’t figure out what it could be). I needed to add my own sauce to save it, but failed, I wasted some good sauce...

Came here as between stop after visiting the Rijksmuseum. Was actually my first time trying the poke bowl, had the tempura one. The bowl had a nice presentation with fresh and healthy ingredients. It tasted wonderful too. The sauce in it had a perfect harmony with all the other stuffs.
