Freddy Fryday Oost — Restaurant in Amsterdam

So far I have enjoyed eveything on the menu. First I was looking for something cheap and tasty in an area that eveything cost so much for dishes not worth their price...Finding Freddy Fryday was like coming across a gold mine, eveything on the menu was advertised by picture and made it very easy for me as a UK traveller. The food was clearly packed with great taste and creativity. It's very hard to pick which meal to choose. On the first day I picked the truffle mayo fries which was so delicious, it made me come back the very next day along with the owners general kindness to everyone including me and my partner in the shop. The next day I chose the mushroom dish out of pure curiosity. I would describe the meal as a portion of beautifully cooked fries topped with a thick mushroom gravy with mushrooms and mozzarella, again another beautiful dish, on the third day I was garunteed another great dish so I showed up the same time with the munchies, pulled chicken with a side of truffle mayo and it was perfect. I can tell you that it was an amazing experience! It tasted so good that we were really shocked! My wife and I have tried many places in Amsterdam, but this place is really up there with our most iconic and favorite places. The staff was really friendly and made our fries with lots of love. It was rich and full of flavor with just the right amount of spice added to it. Also, they don’t hold back with the amount of cheese so it can be heavy on your stomach, but so worth it in my opinion. I did manage to eat it all, but for my wife it was a bit too much. So you might need to buy a smaller size if you’re not able to eat too much.

Unbelievably good, fully loaded fries close to the Oost neighbourhood. The pulled pork fries are as beautiful as they are tasty - they come with house made pulled pork (perfectly seasoned, and flavourful), and slaw (cabbage, carrots, mayo-based dressing). The fries are just enough to eat with the toppings, and are very fresh. My partner and I shared a large size for takeaway and found it perfectly filling for the two of us, but there are smaller sizes available as well. We had such an amazing experience that we recently came back for more, to try the parmesan truffle fries. They're also a solid choice, but we think the pulled pork really knocks it out of the park.
