Expensive for not very good food, see the small burger that we paid 14,50 for (it had no supplements). And the salad with "grilled vegetables" had a tiny bit of grilled paprika, we paid 11,50

Nice place to have a drink before you go to a concert upstairs. Maybe for the people that don't go to a concert it could get a little noisy. There is also a hotel in the building.

Unapologetically, bad customer service; in fact, my family had no service at all because their waitress refused to serve us.

Unfortunately, such a waste of time occurred on our last day in Amsterdam.

To return to our narrative about this cafe:

On our final day in Amsterdam, we considered dining at this café on a rainy evening. We are traveling with two children on a chilly, rainy evening. We wanted to buy coffee or hot chocolate for our children as it is cold outdoors owing to the rain, but the waiter stated we needed a reservation, so we left the main dining area and sat at a table on the terrace. We remained for an additional ten minutes contemplating where we could possibly eat.

Then my husband returned and spoke with the receptionist; he (receptionist) was surprised and reassured that it is a cafe where everyone is welcome and no reservation is required because there are many empty tables both inside and outside this small cafe. Then he spoke to the waitress (her name is not worth any mention, but Q CAfe need to work on their staff and customer service), after speaking with the waitress in their language, he (receptionist) advised us to go to Nomad (asian restaurant) because the cafe was supposedly fully booked .

What kind of hospitality is that? They (waitress and receptionist) suggested that our family go to an Asian restaurant instead because we are Asians and there are few people dining at the café. Seriously? Extremely arrogant for a small cafe.

We felt discriminated against; it was the worst customer service we've ever received from Q Cafe waitresses; outside the terrace, we were sat for an additional 20 minutes while we waited for the rain to subside since we had children with us. There were new people sitting at the table adjacent to ours who were smoking, and the waitresses brought the menu to them without asking about a reservation or anything else. The waitress then turned around and ignored our family, despite the fact that their cafe had been empty for 30 minutes and we were eager to eat anything on the menu.

Again, unfortunately such a waste of time visiting this cafe on our last day in Amsterdam. Go to Grand Café Eighty-Four - instead very hospitable, even offered colouring books and pens to our kids, and explained the menu and suggested if we need drinks.

Such a shame for Q Cafe to carry the Q Hotels brand name. They need to train their...

This happened to us few years ago and was posted under the Q-Factory pin but it actually belongs to Q-Café one: "Awful! I've just been here with my gf today. We ordered some drinks around 19:56. The overweight waitress at the bar was super rude and even snorted loudly while she was charging me for the drinks. Then, we sited outside in one of the tables. 10 mins later the same waitress came out and told us that they were gonna close the bar in 5 min. So, we thought just the bar, we didn't think about the terrace. After that, they started doing the closing, folding all chairs and tables. There was still a table besides ours with people, so we stayed a bit longer waiting for them to finish while we were still finishing our drinks. Then, the same overweight waitress came out and start slamming the tables against the ground like a mad person. Never seen such level of unprofessionalism and ill-mannered behaviour. And believe me, you often find very rude waiters here in Amsterdam, but this was next level. 1) If you're gonna close in 15 mins, you MUST inform customers! What's the point of ordering otherwise? 2) If you need customers to leave the place, tell them nicely, don't assume they're staying for mean reasons. And NEVER, EVER slam the tables in that way to indirectly tell the customers that they're not welcome anymore! 3) If you don't want to be friendly and considerate, find another damn profession, Hospitality...
