I must say, this is truly an authentic representation of what this type of dessert should taste and look like ! I ordered a box of 500 grams of mixed baklava, and the first thing I had to notice was that sugar syrup is on point ! I say this because, from my experience at least in the Netherlands, such desserts are usually ruined by overuse of sugar syrup to the point where you'll be chewing on a soggy sweet mess which is the case for products most similar stores offer. Not the case here, I'm glad to say. Additionally, the balance of quality ingredients with the dough is just perfect. I don't know what type of margarine is used; however, it certainly wasn't overfilling and the texture is great.

The best baklavas in Amsterdam: my favorite is the pistachio baklava, lots of pistachio and just sweet as needed. Also a perfect gift when invited (my parents loved them!).
