Toki used to be a place with great coffee, chilled people and a great vibe. For the third time in a row in the last year the service has declined, mainly being arrogant and unfriendly if you dont have a certain look (I wont state the obvious)The coffee is still good maybe so good that it got to their heads? (Wont blame you)Even RUDELY being questioned where all the spoons are. A spoon count as if we would steal spoons? My baby is incapable of swallowing one - maybe ask your so called "friendly" spoon police to scan the floor first? Or sell souvenir of your nice stuff for your groupies? I feel like Gimmick or not, its plain rude. Find it a pity to not enjoy the great cakes and good coffee because of the snobby vibe. Once the lady behind the counter even made a rude comment regarding a friendly client that just walked out so that everybody could hear. Yes I do have a child and a dog and we are not saints but the way we were treated really was unnecessary. Its not just about the image and they have seem to...
Read moreI have been going here since it opened. Their coffee is delicious whether it is filtered, normal, or with milk. Vegans and non-dairy drinkers will also appreciate the variety of animal-fee milks (my favorite is currently oat). And, that friend who doesn’t drink coffee will also be happy here because they have an amazing tea selection. If you have a caffeine-free person, they also have caffeine-free choices in their teas, plus some interesting sodas and whatnot. Personally, though the matcha latte is my ride-or-die. Another lovely thing is that they, despite being loved by the young and unattached folks who perpetually haunt cafes...they are also welcoming to little ones. This isn’t a place for a large group (4 people max at a time for coziness/ability to keep your noise polite in the space. IMHO, the space isn’t suited for any bigger groups), but it is perfect for a cozy time with a few people. It is always on the list of “can you take me there again?!” for our...
Read moreI visited the city for a couple of days and I found this cafe because I wanted to have a nice breakfast. I ordered all my coffee, drinks, food and - as always - I started to work on my laptop. Then soon a guy came to me that the laptop is not allowed here and I must stop with that. What? I am an IT leader guy who always uses the laptop, it is essential for me. Then the guy was so arrogant that I "must" stop it. No, I won't. There is no informations at the door/website/etc at all that laptops are not welcome there. As I told this to the guy, he replied: "then I just tell you now". This arrogance, grumpy, unwise attitude is a no-go. Obviously he should go back to school to learn how to be polite. And then he did not apologise, not offered any kind of compensation with explanation what and how etc. I wanted to spend there my money (and not only some euros) but then I just simply left. I would not recommend to anybody...
