Update April 2024 to 3 stars: Went back and sat down, they were extremely slow and 1) no napkins or cutlery offered 2) the dips don't come with bread, you need to order it on the side? How am I supposed to eat a dip? 3) Every person getting in is explained the full menu, which slows down everything. Now that I have tried it twice, I don't think I'll be back. It's too chaotic, and the overall experience is not worth it as this business is run by beginners.
5 encouraging stars: I say encouraging as there are a couple of points is best to work on. Sitari has a few tables and very friendly service. A new addition to the area that offers something different. The menu is small as they make everything fresh. I loved the orange cake. I would like to see bougatsa added to their offer.
Incredible Greek Delicacies in Amsterdam
Sitari offers authentic and traditional Greek delicacies 🇬🇷 with a warm, friendly service in a traditional Greek atmosphere. They provide a variety of very tasty and reasonably priced options, including the freshly made peinirli (Greek 'pizza') in different flavors, the mouthwatering Greek gyros, and the juicy moussaka burger 🍔 . We absolutely loved everything we tried, and we will definitely be back. 🤗

Read moreWe recently ordered takeaway and were quite disappointed.
The pita for the kip gyros was excessively oily, and instead of the typical thin slices, the chicken was cut into clearly defined cubes. Additionally, there was more pita bread than filling.
We also ordered two Peinirlis with extra egg, but we only received one, and it had no egg at all. This dish was also overly oily.
Lastly, we got some Portokalopita, which was so soggy it could barely stand on its own, and we had to throw it away.
Overall, I would not recommend this place, especially to anyone seeking authentic...
