As my partner said in the review, if you like being asked to go away in the middle of Friday evening visit - that's your cafe/bar. Otherwise - be warned, our story:
We went into without any person or sign on our way (and we wasn't running through). Took a table with 2 chairs. Waitress has served the table and so on. After 30 minutes same girl came and asked us to free the table because of someone other "reserved it" and this table is for three persons - not for two. Which meant we have leave the cafe that moment. Because the last table was occupied same moment by the visitors.
We where not allowed to finish our food basically.
By coincidence new visitors decided not to stay and that's why we where left with: "you can sit there" after a couple of minutes. Of course we didn't.
Huh...
"argument" of the waitress was that at the door there was a sign: "Please wait to be seated", firstly there was none and we have a photo, secondly - you may reseat people before serving the table, lastly - it's completely fault not only of rude personnel but mainly of poor management. I doubt other parts of the business that are hidden from our eyes are better, I hope kitchen will not cause food poisoning for someone.
What do normal establishments: admit the fault and try to handle it afterwards in such cases.
What do "bonnie" - blame visitors, saying "in Amsterdam it works this way"......
Read moreBonnie offers a solid breakfast experience in the city. The restaurant has a varied menu that caters to different tastes and dietary preferences.
During my visit, I tried several dishes. The Eggs Florentine was well-prepared, with nicely poached eggs and a good hollandaise sauce. The spinach added a fresh element to the dish. For those looking for a lighter option, the Granola Bowl with Yogurt and fruits is a good choice. The granola had a nice crunch, and the yogurt was creamy. The fruit selection was fresh and added natural sweetness.
The French toast was enjoyable - golden on the outside and soft inside. It wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a refreshing accompaniment.
Coffee drinkers will find the Americano satisfactory. It was well-brewed and complemented the meal nicely.
What stood out was the quality of ingredients used in the dishes. The food tasted fresh, and it's clear the kitchen pays attention to the details.
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, making it suitable for a relaxed breakfast or brunch. The service was attentive without being intrusive.
If you're in the neighborhood and looking for a good breakfast spot, Bonnie is worth considering.
I'd be happy to return and try more items from their...

I had a disappointing experience at this bar, specifically due to the attitude of the bartender, Omar. My dog was undergoing surgery at the vet next door, and I was understandably anxious. I decided to sit down, have a drink, and pass the time while waiting.
I ordered a beer, two colas, fries, and a margarita. Yes, it was 1:00 PM—but that’s irrelevant. My golden doodle was fighting for his life, and I was trying to manage my nerves.
Later, I ordered one more margarita, and Omar responded with, “Are you sure you need to be drunk for this?” As if one margarita and an IPA meant I was intoxicated. He seemed unable to distinguish between someone drinking to cope with stress and someone drinking irresponsibly. Instead of simply serving the drink or politely declining, he strongly recommended I shouldn’t have another and then told me to find a new bar.
For the record, my dog was only two minutes away. My receipt shows it was just 1:00 PM.
The food was mediocre, but the spicy margarita was fantastic. I still left a tip—€5. The other waitstaff were lovely, so my complaint is solely about Omar. He could use an...
