Sonora Bar, is a hidden addition to Amsterdam's rooftop scene, and is really a must-visit! Perched on the 24th floor of the nhow Amsterdam RAI hotel, this spot offers amazing views of the city.

Prices: Normal prices for a cocktail bar. (around €50 per person)

Terrace: The terrace is accessible year-round—even in colder months, you can step outside and enjoy the views.

Service: Every guest is welcomed with water and snacks as a thoughtful touch. The staff is attentive, friendly, and determined to make your evening special.

Note: Any cocktail can be made alcohol-free, which I love as I am alcohol free.

Reservation are not available, but the waitlist operates on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is a queue, you can relax at the SELVA restaurant, or downstairs in the living of the hotel.

Sonora in Amsterdam offers a stunning atmosphere that truly elevates the experience. The dim lighting, stylish decor, and overall vibe make it a great spot to spend an evening. However, the cocktails fell short—the drinks had a syrupy mouthfeel and were overly sweet, lacking the balance you’d expect at this price point. Service was decent, but the bartenders didn’t provide great recommendations, which was disappointing given the bar’s craft cocktail focus. If you’re going for the ambiance, it’s worth a visit, but the drinks don’t quite justify...

I had an amazing experience at Sonora! The atmosphere was cozy yet vibrant, making it the perfect spot for a great night out. The cocktail menu was impressive, featuring both classic and creative options, and the snack selection perfectly complemented the drinks.⭐️
