This hotel is right by the conference centre and clearly caters to conference attendees.

Pros: the rooms were clean and comfortable and were cleaned regularly (on request). It is within walking distance of the conference centre. It offers bag storage, a bar, and restaurant.

Cons: the breakfast was ridiculously expensive for a very standard buffet style breakfast. Rather go to one of the many restaurants in the area that offers cheaper and far better meals! The window was large and let in lots of light, but the view was of the apartment complex across the street. Had to close the curtains to change, or change in the bathroom. Also saw things in the apartment across the road, so had to keep the curtains closed a lot of the time. The management were VERY rude, not only to me, but to their own staff. The gentleman checking me in was very new and in training, but the managers were being so rude to him, right in front of me. It was so unprofessional and uncomfortable. Then getting checked in was a mission, because it was not made clear that the room wasn’t paid for, but just reserved on a company credit card. Instead of making some concessions and helping to check me in, they were not only inflexible, but very rude as well, when I was asking questions (I was not rude to them at all). Again, the staff were generally very nice, but managers and higher ups were rude to everyone.

My room (standard double room) was clean, nice and tidy. The bathroom was also very clean. In most hotels, no matter how expensive, I have always found mould somewhere on one of the grout lines in the shower, that was not the case here. Very pleasant! And my room was very quiet. I didn't hear anything from the room neighbours. So a restful sleep was always possible. The staff were always friendly, helpful and effective (not just warm words).

The bed was also wide enough - even for 2 people. I would have liked the room to have been designed for two people otherwise. The storage space in the bathroom is so small and sparse that I had difficulty placing everything alone, especially as almost half of the bathroom is blocked with a shower that is far too large (in relation to the size of the bathroom). Moreover, the shower has no door, so the whole bathroom is quickly flooded. But due to the lack of storage space, you don't know where to put your things. The towel rack is in the shower, but there is no space for it outside. The interior designer didn't think about that.

I would have liked to see a suitcase rack, a rubbish bin, a cupboard or a bedside table. There are only a few shelves and what you want to have by the bed you have to put on the floor.
