The Magpie — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Hello, I visited The Magpie 2 times during my recent trip to Amsterdam, by far, Lee from The Magpie is the best Barman in the city. If you have a Love for Football (Soccer for the USA folks), there is always a game on TV, no matter what league or country, and clearly, by far, if you want to watch English Football, there is NO better place in the City, than The Magpie. Lee is an incredible host, and has an outstanding understanding of Football, it is truly a fun experience watching a Football game with Lee, honestly, he should be calling the games on TV, he is that good with his knowledge and facts. When you are away from home, in an international city like Amsterdam, it is great comfort to be in an establishment with Football on TV, with incredibly friendly customers, every one is so friendly with one another, you feel like home, The Magpie is so comfortable, the Beer is always Fresh and Cold, nice choice of whiskies, but most important, this would not be possible, without the great friendship, service, witty conversation and football talk from Lee, a great Barman, and incredible host. cosy café, nice and friendly service. I took an organic tripel from brouwerij 't IJ. 8% alcohol for €4,50 well, actually €9,- for two bottles as the atmosphere made me drink another one. All in all a nice place where people look at and follow sports on the screens or play darts or have a chat and a laugh in real time in the familiarity atmosphere at the bar or trying one's luck at one of the one armed bandit machines who since long lost their one arm to a button, surely to easier play the game of luck. This place is amazing. Finally I found a bar. It has a decoration of a classic bar, what makes the place amazing are the people. The staff is incredibly sweet and attentive. You can see the usuals all coming and chilling here. The music is also cool. It is just a great atmosphere, nothing elaborate but you feel welcome and as a usual even if you're not (yet).
