This was a de facto lunch place for me for the last 3 years. It’s unfortunate that today was the last due to health concerns.

While preparing the food, I saw that their personnel’s nails were excessively long and dirty… I discarded thinking maybe this is a cultural thing but by the time we were finishing our food, nail clipping sounds emerged, I literally went near the counter to see that individual actually clipping his nails, right near the food prepping counter. Wow! If you like flavorful food, this is the spot! Really enjoyed my first Surinamese experience here. The food is delicious, and you can ask for an English menu, if needed. The price is very reasonable, and portions quite large. The place does have tables and chairs, but this seems to be a locals' takeaway place, so plan for a casual lunch more than a date-night dinner.
