SPAR University VU — Local services in Amsterdam

A clerk there is very rude. I accidentally paid for the wrong bread (they looked very similar by the image and the names are mostly wiped off in the bread stand). It turned out to be a couple of cents cheaper so this guy comes in screaming telling me that I am very fishy. I apologise and I tell him I will pay for the correct one provided he tells me which one it is cause I don't know. He keeps on yelling and being rude and asks me what the name of the bread is. I say I don't know, that's why I'm asking you to tell me which one it is so I can pay for it.

He finally puts in the right one and then I basically double pay with no refund, which is the least of my problem. This guy keeps on being very disrespectful and goes on to say some passive-agressive things like "oh, you should get the 100 euro fine" and "I'll keep an eye on you, you're not welcome in my store".

So yeah, now I'm not gonna go to this store anymore. Not because I am "not welcome" but because of the attitude of the staff. You...

PSA: Students generally have have a lunchbreak between 12.45 and 13.30, so it's going to be busy when you go there at those times. During summer holiday their selection is reduced, but it still serves its purpose perfectly for me.

This place wasn't really made for doing your groceries for the week, there's 2 albert heijns and a jumbo not that far from here that are suited for that. Wish I could give 0 stars. Place is expensive and frankly it’s always a gambe on whether they’re open or not, or even if they ordered food because they use the “long-weekend” excuse to not order any food whatsoever. They used to have chopsticks available for particular foods and somehow they run out of them at 10 in the morning (which I suspect it’s just bs), and thus you have to use a spork that obliterates itself at first use; which you now have to pay for.
