Toasty Lunchroom — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Surprised by the high ratings this place got. Went here for a quick bite during lunch. They have a couple of small tables on the street and some inside.

As we went inside we immediately noticed the place seemed dirty and not well kept. Dirty smears on the walls, old and worn furniture. Nothing a bucket of paint and a bit of money can’t fix.

Staff seems nice but not outgoing and seemingly busy even though only 3 other customers were in. Got a toasty with chicken which also wasn’t noteworthy. But not bad either.

lovely coffee with friendly and helpful service. I came here in the morning looking for a place to work for few hours. The staff was super nice and welcoming. They have free wifi and everything they serve is fresh and very tasty. I had a flat white, a pain au chocolat and a big fresh pressed orange juice for 10eur. I consider that very fair.

The coffee place itself is a bit small but very cute in decoration and comfortable to hang out there for few hours. Now I know that if I need to ever find a nearby place in Overtoon, I can come back...

Really nice. Today was a very warm day so indoors was hot but outdoors had a beautiful cold breeze. We tried two toasties: Chicken Oriental and Burn Baby Burn. Both with brown bread. The toast was really good and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The sauce accompanying them was very strong. I didn't like the Mayo Tofu sauce as I'm not a fan of Tofu but I loved the Curry sauce. To top it of: I got a cookie and it was amazing with Cappucino. Highly recommended and will...
