Craving some authentic and gorgeous Italian food? Then look no further... This is among the best in the city...
Ambience: (5/5) Outside and inside great seating options. The variety of both double seating and larger makes it a great option even for a date.
Service: (5/5) Update: a massive shout out to Hassan and Frederico! They were both absolutely amazing. Loved how helpful they were and the fact that we had such a wonderful evening as they also helped in the selection. The service has had become super and hence I have increased the stars to 5. I am keeping the below so you can see from where to where it has come. I am very happy with the service.
(Earlier Review: Iām going to say itās not the best, there were only two people and they seem quite overworked on account of the number of tables they had to run around to. Nonetheless, you never ended up waiting for than a couple minutes. So all in all Kodos to the people working there.)
Food: (5/5) If only I was allowed to give 6 stars!!! Wow!!! I cannot begin to say what incredible food this place serves. The beef was so well cooked that it just made the entire dish stand out. The cheese and the pasta overall was splendid! Wow... seriously, find me a better Italian place here and I will pay for your dinner. But the aglio olio was also really unique. The freshness of the tomato was very evident but not over powering. Balanced incredibly well. Love all we ate. Clearly I will be visiting here a lot more.
Summary: (5/5) Fabulous food and great ambience! This is a place you will not regret having food in. Stop searching and just come eat here! You will thank yourself. Thanks for the the great food and I will most certainly be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen here a few times, service has also been subpar but the food was always really, really good.
The problem with this place is that randomly they "close the kitchen, to catch up" and then you can't eat at the restaurant even though about 50% of the tables are empty.
I'm not entirely sure why this is, but I think there must be better ways to set up those logistics rather than just declining eager customers in the middle of the day, especially when advertising opening times that are then not correct on socials and the website.
Great food if you can get them to serve it to you.
[Edit in response to owner]:
I went on Saturday afternoon, website and Maps says it's open from 12 to 00. The answer from the staff wasn't:"All tables are reserved" or "The restaurant hasn't opened yet, all the people here are staff" which would have been a valid explanation, like I said, restaurant staff said:"We're closing the kitchen to catch up and we'll open it again at 17:00".
It's all good if maybe some employees were shorthanded, we do live in COVID times, or if any other unforeseen circumstances happened, but I find the lack of acknowledgement of an issue to be annoying, I didn't confuse the opening times, I checked before going, I didn't see a closed restaurant and thought the staff that attends it were customers. I walked in the restaurant and there were regular customers eating and I was turned down. Please have some self critic, I love the food and wish nothing but the best to Gustatio, but pinning the restaurants mistakes on the customer is not a great strategy to retain...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really used to enjoy going to this restaurant (about once every 5-6months) as I live close by. Iām very sad about my recent experience as Iām going through a strict diet plan for health issues and this was supposed to be my cheat meal in ages. We ordered initially the Special eggplant bruschetta. Nothing super special and rather flavorless. The only taste of this dish was the cheese. My friend got the gnocchi ragu which were the highlight of the meal. The rest of the plates came with a really bad experience. I ordered the vegetarian lasagna. And to be honest with you it was the first time in my life that I tried to return a dish in a restaurant. Something was super off this dish (please bare in mind Iām Greek so Iām used to Mediterranean flavors). I informed the waiter that I want to order something else, in return he told me that he has to charge us for this plate (well š¤·š¼āāļø). After that I got the cacio y pepe which was NOT COOKED at all, and I donāt mean al dente, I could feel the pasta from inside. Flavor was ok. At the end of the meal nobody asked if everything was eventually ok or if we enjoyed the dinner (strange). We paid 90⬠in total for 3 pasta dishes , 3 glasses of wine and a beer. Slightly overpriced, especially for the whole expensive. To conclude, the ambience is nice for the restaurant, maybe I had high expectations due to my great experience the last times. I think Iāll give it one more try at the future just to test but I donāt...
