The service at first was nice. After we ordered the food things got bad. The food arrived for 3 out of 4 people and we were told that the last portion is coming in a moment. That one moment became 25 minutes (checked the time). The three people have eaten and after some time the food for the fourth arrived (after reminding the staff a few times that our table is still missing food). We assumed that the waiter simply forgot to put one of the dishes into the system. After that we asked for lemon tart as a dessert. 3 minutes after ordering the dessert we were approached as if we are leaving already and not having more food. Finally, we get the bill and we were asked whether we have any questions. We asked about the gap between the food for our table and we were answered that we should go to the kitchen and see the amount of orders they have (while we were ok with quite a long wait for the food but not happy that one person was left out) and the dialogue ended with that. However, despite the low service quality the food was nice and portions were big, good...
Read moreFirst of all, do NOT write Bariq off for not being on a canal. The positives far outweigh hearing a tram rumble by every 4-7 minutes. Service was great. I stopped in for brunch with 3 friends and we were seated promptly, our orders taken and our waiter offered great advice on what to get when we were paralyzed by the choices! He didn’t steer us wrong. We had the eggs Benedict prosciutto, the feta egg scramble, I had the sausage and mushrooms with egg, and my one friend was rightfully steered to the club sandwich in place of the wrap. “Don’t order the wrap, Bruv.” I had to try the savory pancake for one… and it was too big. Not in a negative, but I had no help so I was very full after. No regrets, it was all delicious. My wife had a Greek Iced Coffee… never heard of it, but it was very good. The patio is a bit loud with street noise, but again no complaints. Inside was very charming. I would 100% go back tomorrow. Thank...
Read moreOne of the best places I’ve eaten recently in Amsterdam! Had a girls night with 6 people on the table. Service was fast and super friendly, really top notch hospitality. It’s a mix of European food mostly Mediterranean I think but was so delicious. Everything we tried was really nice and well served. I’d suggest the feta pocket with honey really good! Cocktails are amazing as well and Jannis (sorry don’t know how to spell) did an excellent job making us feel welcome extending a cocktail on the house for each of us at the end of the dinner. Was extremely surprised. Haven’t gotten a free drink at a restaurant in Amsterdam in years! Thank you for the lovely evening. We’re definitely coming back, I’ve already booked a table for...
