This cute spot has the best focaccia I’ve ever tried! Definitely worth a visit when you’re in the area or going for a picnic at Vondelpark :-)
Not only are the two chefs incredibly skilled, kind and friendly (they’ll always strike up a conversation with you and are really accommodating), but they’re also committed to maintaining sustainable kitchen practices. They use left over focaccia to make a focacciamisu, and other amazing seasonal dishes. I love the atmosphere in the shop, you feel welcomed right away. Super homey vibes yet really refined - I’m a regular there and go every week 🙂
The focaccia is always freshly baked, fluffy and moist with a slight crunch, ever since trying it I crave it so often (especially the onion one omg). Loads of vegan options, yummy soup & there is also really delicious Italian coffee that’s not as acidic as other coffees in Amsterdam! Everything is top notch -...
Read moreThe focaccia is great we loved it. They also have wide variety of options which is nice, and they are all quite original and simple so that is a plus. I liked the warm crunch feeling of the focaccia. Also the place is very cosy and casual which fits a Focacceria. They also have a beautiful little garden which has a viewing on a picturesque residential neighbourhood around vondelpark, super nice! I’m giving 4 stars however because I believe prices to be a bit unfair. The focaccia with pomodoro and mozzarella was 5€ which is a bit too much given the somewhat small size. The other focaccia with the other cheese was 5 euro as well and that was bigger but in general portions are quite small and it’s still 5 euro. I might come back and try some nice combinations but the basic focaccia are overpriced so I wouldn’t go for those. Overall a nice place, staff also Italian and...
Read moreI had been meaning to try this place for a while and I’m so glad we finally did! We were lucky as we went on a Saturday afternoon and there were still plenty of options left. We ordered a Porkaccia (really good, recommended!) and a Panino di Mortadella (very good taste and very filled but maybe slightly dry, I’d probably add pesto next time). The staff are also super friendly and patient, special kudos to the girl welcoming the customers at the till as she was very kindly explaining all the options available to every customer. The vibe in the place is also very cozy and it almost feels as if they were welcoming you to their house and kitchen. The price of the panini is not cheap but it’s high quality products so it won’t be stopping us from going again and try all the...
