Set For Wish — Restaurant in Arnhem

I used to be the most loyal customer of this place. I ate here all the time and recommended to all my friends, even cleaned up my own table after every time I eat there.

However, recently I brought 6 friends here to the restaurant and was greeted with the worst attitude I've ever seen in my life! They refused to host 7 people although there were about 20 empty seats there at the time.

They told us we should have reserved which is okay, it makes sense. But when we asked why we couldn't just sit in the empty seats they continued to reply that it's not about the seats but more about the food, that they needed to prepare beforehand blah blah blah... I didn't really understand (due to their level of English) so I asked again "you mean you don't have enough food for 7 people?" (it was only 6pm), to which they replied "no, it's about the preparation, we need to make the rice..." ??? It's ramen that we want, not rice.

Anyway, I thought they meant the preparation time so I politely replied "it's okay, we don't need to be served all at once, we can wait for each person to get there food". And they also replied that it's not about that. At the end, they just gave up on explaining, because they can not provide a reasonable explanation.

I don't really care what their reason is that they can't serve us, we would accept it anyway and go to another place instead. But the problem was their attitude, the whole time they were "explaining", they were talking in a very disrespectful and arrogant tone (like they were talking to stupid people).

Seems like they don't need customers because they're so famous now, I guess it doesn't matter to them if they lost the profit on 7 bowls of ramen or 20, 30 or even 100 more in the future. I really do not understand the way they treat customers and everyone in my group was upset and confused. I guess we just stop supporting this place from now on because I wouldn't wanna support a business that...

The restaurant is located quite nicely around the centrum (more at the edge) and is easy to reach just by walking from the station. The menu offered decent amount of food with different varieties which is nice but don't expect to have too many choices. My girlfriend and I went for the Beef Teriyaki Don and the beef smelled and tasted great! The garnish served within the plate is great as there are corns, bamboo shoots and salad. The plate was bigger than I expected (based on the photo on the menu) which definitely filled my stomach. For the sides, we went for the soy beans and gyoza (dumplings). The gyoza was nicely fried and the soy beans were tasty. As for the drinks, my girlfriend went for an apple juice and I went to try their mango calpis. They served both drinks in a medium/large cup with ice and it's definitely one of the nicest things to drink during a hot summer day like the day we went there.

The only thing that I would note about is that the restaurant is not very big although it can surely accommodate quite the number of people and that unfortunately the place reeks of the "bathroom" odor. This might be the cause of their small area.

All in all quite satisfied with the food and their very friendly and fast/hard...

We ordered home delivery. Chicken ramen and beef ramen. Chicken ramen was great, beef ramen was also good but the beef was in a sweet sauce, maybe we should have ordered a spicy broth with it, so the combination would have been better. Each place prepares ramen in its own way, this version is really good, before this I tried ramen once and it was just water with meat. Now a little unpleasant about the service, we wanted to order food on Saturday, the website indicated the possibility to do this until 19:30, so we decided to wait and order around 5 o'clock, but for some reason the restaurant was closed for delivery. We tried to order again on Monday, we did it differently, ordered at 12 and asked to bring it in the evening, this was the right decision because the delivery also closed in the evening until 19:30. Maybe you should change the time in the application if you can't deliver at this time? The delivery area is also strange, we live in the south of Arnhem and here part of the area is cut off from the center's delivery, the difference is a couple of hundred meters, but the location is no longer available, but fortunately the courier delivered the order to us.
