If you are on vacation in Aruba and want to try something absolutely delicious, you must go to Chalo Burger. We asked our taxi driver: “When you get off work, where do YOU go eat?”
Without hesitation, the man said Chalo Burger!
Thankfully the group I was with spoke Spanish so we were able to order effectively, but I know that even if you closed your eyes and pointed at the menu, you’d get something delicious.
A man sitting outside the truck must have noticed we were being loud Americans lol and struck up a conversation with us in perfect English. That is when I noticed that his face was on the side of the truck, it was the legend Chalo himself!
The man went back inside and triple checked that everything was going smoothly with our order and even gave us some samples of items on the menu.
You might be saying to yourself: can’t I get a burger in the states? Sure, but do not sleep on my man Chalo. The burgers we got were beyond huge, and the salchipapa fries, my god!
We enjoyed our experience thoroughly, and if you find yourself back on the island, just give it a try. Drunk you will...

And let’s start with fries, because you can’t mess up the fries, but they were a bit undercooked and without salt, served without any condiments. Chicken burger was overwhelmed with sauce as well as was a ribeye that had no flavor. All of the flavor came from the sauces, which made the burger very soggy. Some ppl are into those, albeit drunk and down for a soggy bun. The hype could be that burger portions are really generous and affordable to Aruban standards. There is only one table outside and parking can be difficult to navigate in a busy street. $ and credit cards are accepted. Staff taking the order were nice with...

The bbq pork and the pork belly were moist, tasty and oh so good with the rice and macaroni. We ordered the mixed special #3 and a separate order of pork belly. Oh so good! The location may not look fancy but where it counts, this little gem is worth...
