As someone who's stayed at the Hilton Aruba five times, it's like a second home for me, my siblings and parents. We know a lot of the staff, the spots to hang out, and what to expect. But this last trip was a bit of a mixed bag. The heart of the Hilton is its people, and they still shine. Herald, our amazing happy hour server, was missed this time around - but we were happy to see him happy working in room service! Luckily, we loved hanging out with Johntje and he stepped up and made sure we still had a blast by the water. We felt like there was a lack of staff to serve us by the pool some days. We learned it was due to the numerous events at night that pulled staff away from their daytime pool duties. Yeda, the breakfast queen still makes the most incredible omelets ever. Seeing the usual faces at breakfast and the bellhops always makes us feel right at home. Here's the snag: the construction. It's a big deal, and we wished somehow someone/or the website would have been more upfront about it. Gilligan's, our go-to happy hour spot, was demolished before our own eyes, and the noise from the new tower made sleeping in a joke. I'm excited about the new stuff, but the lack of communication was a bummer. To top it off, the prices haven't budged a bit. It felt like I was paying top dollar for a resort experience that was, frankly, a bit compromised. We'd love to come back and enjoy the new Hilton once the construction dust settles, but until then, we'll be exploring other options. A little something to acknowledge the inconvenience of our last stay (maybe a retroactive discount?) would be a nice gesture and show that you value your loyal guests. I write Google reviews, and I take them seriously. The Hilton has a special place in my heart, so I have to be honest. The hotel needs to be more open with guests, especially when big changes are happening. Tell us what's going on so we can plan our trips better! Despite all this, I'm still a fan. The Hilton's staff and the familiar feeling keep me coming back. But they've got to fix these issues with the construction and staffing. If they communicate better, staff up, and make sure guests have a smooth stay, the Hilton will be back to its amazing self in no time. Here's my two cents: 1.) Be upfront: Let us know about construction, timelines, and any disruptions. 2.) Give us options: If the usual spots are closed, offer other places to hang out. 3.) Quiet down: Find ways to make the construction less noisy for guests. The Tuesday DJ was far superior to the repetitive playlist used for most of our days by the pool. 4.) More staff: Make sure there are enough people around to help us out, especially when it's busy. 5.) Listen to us: Read our feedback and take action! 6.) Adjust pricing: Be fair to your guests and make sure the cost matches the experience. We paid what we would normally pay, and the experience was not up to that par. If the Hilton Aruba does these things, they'll keep loyal guests like me happy, and new guests will fall in love with this place too.

I recently returned from a 7-day stay at Hilton Aruba with my family. We have stayed at your resort four times in the past two years, and up until now, our visits have always been memorable for the warmth, hospitality, and service that made us look forward to returning. Unfortunately, this most recent visit was very upsetting and did not meet the standards we have come to associate with Hilton Aruba. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. In the past, we were always greeted warmly upon arrival, but this time there was little acknowledgment, which set a disappointing tone for the rest of our stay. At check-in, Bradley mentioned that he was upgrading us to an oceanfront room; however, it was the same room category we had stayed in during a previous visit, which was not marketed as oceanfront. While he was enthusiastic, it felt disingenuous, and the only amenity offered was a 20% coupon for the Sunset Grille. For a family that has been loyal to your resort, visiting twice a year, that gesture felt underwhelming. We also rented palapas for five of the seven days of our stay. The service we experienced was consistently poor, and on Sunday, September 21st, we were especially disappointed. Despite paying for an oceanfront palapa, our view was completely blocked by a private party setup with tables, chairs, and lighting equipment. One of the reasons I rent front-row palapas is so I can watch my children safely in the water, and having our view obstructed was both frustrating and concerning. I have attached photos for your reference. In addition, we dined at the breakfast buffet and were surprised at the negative attitudes we encountered. Something as simple as requesting decaf coffee or hot sauce seemed to be treated as an inconvenience. This is not the level of service one expects from a Hilton resort, and certainly not from a property we have returned to so many times. As loyal guests, my husband and I save and work hard to bring our children to Aruba because we have always felt the Hilton experience was worth it. Sadly, this visit left us very disappointed. I truly miss the warm welcome we used to receive from staff such as Vickie, who always greeted us with a smile, remembered our family, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. That type of personal touch is what kept us coming back. I am writing in the hope that you will take this feedback seriously. We want to continue returning to Hilton Aruba, but our most recent experience left us questioning whether we should. I would appreciate a response and hope that steps can be taken to restore the welcoming, high-quality experience that your loyal guests have come to expect.

First things first, I want to start off by saying the people are great. Everyone is super friendly. Our issues are more with management and the Hilton. The workers can’t control what is happening on site, but here are the facts: -I wouldn’t book this resort until mid 2025. There is MAJOR construction happening all over the resort. They briefly mention this on the website but it isn’t a transparent representation of what’s actually happening at the hotel. -upon arrival you’re handed a piece of paper explaining the construction out front but it doesn’t touch on any of the other construction items happening on site. You will have to drive up on the sidewalk in order to get to the front as the street is closed and the construction out front is a pretty large eye sore. -Attached are views outside our bedroom window of the one tower construction. We knew we would be able to “view” the construction when booking the room but we didn’t realize it would be so close and feel like it’s on top of us. Be prepared for the NOISE! I’m currently laying on the beach and listening to workers jackhammering behind us. Not exactly peaceful. -Two out of their three main restaurants are closed due to construction/renovations. Sunset Grille and Giligans is closed. They also advertise this other area on the website called The Shore that just doesn’t exist. Don’t look at the map on the website because it’s not a true representation of what the resort currently looks like. -we arrived at noon and our room wasn’t ready until 4:30(after check in time). I’ve personally never not gotten an early check in time but I understand it can’t be expected but minimum the room should be ready by normal check in time. They apologized and said our floor just opened due to the construction. I think they simply weren’t ready for us. -Again, no communication ahead of our visit on what to expect with the construction happening on site. We basically just feel blindsided like this isn’t the resort we booked. If they accommodated some items or maybe threw in some meals/drinks for free I might feel different but they don’t. They still nickel and dime you with $18 drinks and make you pay to book chairs on the beach. They should do something for the guests that book during this renovation process they are going through, but they literally do nothing…. I’m a longtime Hilton member, but honestly, I’m considering switching to Marriot with how I feel like Hilton baited us on this visit

We returned from the Hilton Aruba resort last week where we celebrated our 20th anniversary. Our stay exceeded our expectations in every way. The Hilton staff went above and beyond to meet our needs and make us feel like special guests. We had booked the Palm Beach Club level with access to their VIP lounge but were BLOWN AWAY when we checked in and were told that we had been upgraded to the Pent House!! We have never, EVER been treated so well, it felt like an actual dream. The pent house encompassed the entire 9th floor- 3 full bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a dining room, living room and kitchen! And then the deck......breath-taking!! Views of the entire resort- the beach, the landscape, everything. It was luxury beyond anything we've ever experienced and I can't say enough how grateful we felt for their thoughtful upgrade. We're diamond members and almost always stay at Hilton properties and it's thoughtfulness like this that will keep us loyal to the brand.

We will be sure to book the Palm Beach Club option next time we come. The lounge accommodations were incredible. They offer an upgraded continental breakfast, tea time and happy hour and the food is really great. If nothing else, it's nice to have a spot to grab a cold drink or some waters for the room. We already miss Afroze from the Palm Beach Club lounge....she was the BEST! She made me laugh so much and she always made sure that we were well looked after.

We ate dinner late one night at the Sunset Grille Restaurant, within the Hilton. We haven't had service this attentive anywhere else in a very long time. David was our waiter. Even upon arriving, we must have looked a hot mess (literally) because we had been walking all over town prior. The host practically ran to get me a hand towel to wipe my face. They seated us outside, as I requested, and it was SO nice to sit near the water feature, within view of the lounge area with live music. Unlike so many other places we've gone, the music wasn't blaring loud and we could actually enjoy the music and talk at the same time. They brought us little treats throughout the meal that we didn't order, but loved. Dinner was delicious. But more importantly, the entire ambience and the attentiveness of every single person who stopped by our table to make sure we were happy, made our dinner enjoyable. I felt horrible that we were the only table there towards the end (again, it was late) and our waiter never made us feel hurried. Thank you David and staff!! Our anniversary dinner was SO memorable.

As part of our ridiculous (amazing) upgrade, we also had a reserved palapa every day. The beach staff are so helpful and kind as well. Christian looked after us and seemed to always appear exactly when we needed something. There is nothing like a cocktail on the beach with that amazing view. Thank you Christian for being so awesome and like all of the other staff, for making us feel special.

We really appreciated the assistance of Francisco, in the lobby area. We wanted to go to Tres Trapis but didn't know how to manage without a car. He arranged a taxi to take us there and come back for us an hour later. He said he'd even send a helicopter to come back for us if needed. ;-) He always got us where we wanted to be. I also appreciated how easy it was to get a taxi at the lobby and when we ultimately decided a car rental would be fun, that was easy to manage within the Hilton as well. I HIGHLY recommend getting a car, if only for one day. It's such an easy island to navigate and we had so much fun beach hopping.

The location of this hotel is ideal and we look forward to coming back with our kids. They'll love the shopping and restaurants within walking distance. They'll also love the pools and close proximity to beach. We really enjoyed the walking area along the beach which leads to the other hotels/ shops/ food stops.

Thank you Hilton Aruba for making this trip so much more than...

Love this hotel! Such a perfect location and gorgeous beach. My boyfriend and I came here for a get a way from the cold New England weather. The staff is super friendly and want to make your vacation special. The lobby, room and view from our balcony was breathtaking. There’s everything you need at the resort but there are also shops, restaurants, and bars right across the street, super convenient for a night out.

The dinner restaurant at the hotel, Sunset Grille, was divine and romantic. BEST French onion soup and sea bass we’ve ever had (and we are super foodies). Also wonderful service from ERROLL, very professional and friendly. He paced out our meal being very understanding we were on a vacation in no rush. The Laguna restaurant buffet was excellent and GUILLERMO was awesome!!!! He refilled our mimosas for us which was so fun because we felt pampered and encouraged to have fun. Castaways by the pool had yummy fish tacos, fast service. Woman who took our room service order was also a sweetheart on the phone and gentlemen who brought it was so great. Servers have 15 percent added gratuity to the bill, I wish it was an automatic 20 percent for them because they work so hard and are so nice. Hopefully their hourly wage is higher than normal.

The hotel gift shop was convenient for anything you could imagine if you forgot it at home.

The Eforea spa here was perfection and one of the best parts. Massage therapist did a fantastic job as we had just rode ATVs the day before and we were so sore. Very high end and the staff there are so kind and treat you like royalty. It is expensive (but worth it) so definitely milk everything you can from it by using all of the amenities. My boyfriend and I were in the outside cabana and we loved it but might choose inside next time because it was on the noisy beach. Still fantastic and ended with mimosas in the courtyard.

The white sand beach and gorgeous turquoise water were a beautiful sight underneath our palapa where we drank tropical drinks, read a book and listened to music.

I will be super honest knock off one star for three things but we would absolutely still return but we will be aware for next time. We did not complain because they were just small things to be weary of and could be fixed right off the bat so you can enjoy the other wonderful 99 percent of the hotel. We also didn’t want to risk losing our gorgeous view from the balcony. First, our mattress was so sunken in on my side. I love firm mattresses, but it had a crater on my side I sank into and my back hurt so bad every morning. Just check right away when you get there. I’m sure it was probably just mine. Also the water in the shower turns hot and cold the whole time, I saw other reviews affirming my paranoia. Third, mixed drinks had little to no alcohol or watered down. Mind you, I don’t like drinks that taste super boozy, sign of a terrible drink in my opinion but I literally could taste nothing and no matter how much I drank I felt not even a slight buzz which was what I was aiming for. I obviously cannot know 100 percent if this is true but it makes sense for profit and to make sure guests don’t get too drunk. Again, just speculating and could be completely wrong.

Overall, Hilton Aruba was incredible and would highly...

This was our first time (family of 4 with kids aged 10 and 12) in Aruba so I wanted to stay in Palm Beach to be in the heart of the restaurant and hotel strip. I was a bit hesitant to select the Hilton Aruba due to the construction and should have listened to my instincts. First off, the hotel is in a wonderful location on a great beach. The property is immaculate and very nice. However, I did not realize there was on going construction on both sides of the hotel, making the outdoor space and eating areas feel very constricted. The only food options during the day for my kids were hotel food trucks located by the side of the beach along with a beach bar. The picnic style seating area was hot and sad looking. I expected more from a top tier hotel. We got 3 entrees from the food truck on our first day while waiting for our room and it was $85 with tip for a burger, shrimp wrap and some chicken tenders! They add 15% service charge to everything and then expect you to tip on top. The hotel has a nice casino and is overall a nice property but I would not stay here again. Everything was overpriced for what it was. Here are pros and cons.||Pros:|-Beautiful beach and there is a pier nearby with a waterfront seafood restaurant called Bugaloe that is nice to walk over to for a midday drink or bite to eat. |-Hotel is clean and rooms very spacious|-Filtered water and ice on every floor so we didn’t need to buy bottled water. Aruba purifies their own water. Their tap water tastes amazingly refreshing.|-Across the street from a host of restaurants ($$$) |-Nice and modern casino||Cons:|-Construction flanking both sides of the hotel makes the outdoors ground feel very small. Half of one of the pools was cut off due to construction. |-Very expensive food and beverage for a Hilton. Maybe that’s just how all the hotels are in Palm beach.|-Breakfast buffet served the same food every day. While it did have some variety it wasn’t a lot and it was very small. I’ve had much better breakfast buffets at all inclusives in Cancun.|-Hard to get a beachside palapa unless you paid for one. They offer free booking but you have to wait in line every day at 12:30pm. When you do get a chair sometimes they only offer it for a half day and it’s 3rd or 4th row back where you can barely see the ocean. For a hotel like this I didn’t expect to have to do so much work to get a beach palapa. They definitely don’t have enough palapas for all the guests.||In summary, I’m glad we stayed at Palm Beach at least once but if I return I would stay elsewhere from the Hilton.
