Bagels & Beans Gasthuispoort Breda — Restaurant in Breda

I used to come here very often to purchase their cinnamon raisin bagels in bulk. They tasted absolutely delicious and reminded me of home. 🥰 I'm from Pennsylvania, USA.

Within the past couple of years they changed their recipes. You can't taste the cinnamon, raisins, nor sweetness. They've obviously adjusted the flavor to be more "Dutch", so that people can enjoy salmon and other savory items on it instead of plain cream cheese. 👎

In my opinion, they've lost what made them special. They used to have authentic sourdough bagels, but now it's just ordinary bread. 🍞

I've tried their other locations: Utrecht, Tilburg, and Den Bosch. I was hoping that it was just one location that may have changed their recipes, but it's all of them...

This place is so cosy and nice! Great Interior, good seatings, colours and the lighting makes the ambience so pleasant. You can spend easily few hours without realizing it. The food is very nice, I love the bagels and the cheese spread which you can choose and they are delicious.
