Café Vulling — Restaurant in Breda

I visited Café Vulling in Breda Centrum on Friday, 9 August 2025 around 7:00 PM. The woman who took my order (young, with colored streaks at the back of her hair) was shockingly rude from the start. Her tone, facial expressions, and way of speaking made me feel like my questions were “stupid.” My brother even asked her why she looked so upset with us, and she responded even more unfriendly.

When I went to collect my pizza, I politely asked to order another cola. In front of other customers, she told me sharply that I “had to be in line”, something I wasn’t aware of because it had never been mentioned. The way she said it was unnecessarily harsh and embarrassing.

I came here to enjoy my weekend, but instead, I left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. After checking the Google reviews, I noticed many other customers have complained about the same behavior, which shows this is not an isolated incident. This staff member is damaging the reputation of the café.

Until management takes action, I cannot recommend Café Vulling. Management contacted me and they are friendly, so I assume things won't...

You won't be served here, it's a self order bar where you have to get your drinks at the counter and get like a food buzzer that will notify you when the food is ready.

Not my style, but definetly nice bar servers and the top floor has some game tables like snooker. The cafe looked nice from outside and inside.

Really nice place to go to with friends. They serve food, although choices are limited in the evening, and you can also play pool for €1 (temporary €10 deposit). The offer of drinks is solid and the staff are very friendly.
