Sip First — Restaurant in Breda

at the end of a rainy Saturday afternoon visit to Breda, we went here to have an nice coffee; it was the best thing we had done that day, and our experience was just top; not only the best coffee experience (and amazing apple-cinnamon-ricotta cake), but the friendly and knowledgeable staff made it even more special and pleasant. Pepijn is an amazing Barista and is clearly very passionate about his work. He and his colleagues are the stars of this nice place and make it worth to come back and share this experience with friends and other visitors to Breda! We will just come back to Breda, in order to enjoy a visit to Sip First:)! Luckily we also brought some good coffee home and we had the very best carrot cake for "take away", so we could/can enjoy the good memories at...

1 year ago I ordered the banana pancakes (vegan/gluten free) and they were amazing! Different ingredients, fruits, good flavors. Fantastic! At 15 euros not cheap, but worth it. Half year later I returned for the same pancakes and found it the recipe had changed and it didn't taste the same as before. Still good enough, but 15 euros was perhaps a bit too much. Then a few weeks ago I visited again, to find out they changed the recipe once more and this time it's just an ordinary pancake with only sweet flavors. All components are sweet. No special flavors. And this time 15 euros is way too much.

We were on our way back from Roermond to Rotterdam and decided to stop in Breda for a late lunch. We were fortunate to get a table here and were curious to see if the cafe was as good as the reviews here on Google. The great vibe of the place can be felt from the moment one walks in. The decor is very nice and I particularly liked the huge painting on the wail. Service was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The food was delicious.
