On my first day in Curacao, I ended up here after getting lost looking for my condo. I saw this restaurant and decided to stop and regroup, and I'm soo glad I did. I mentioned my dilemma to the young lady who was serving me and she was soo helpful. I then decided to order lunch, so I settled on the fried conch with peas and rice, salad, and plantain. When she brought out my plate, I first thought it was scrambled eggs, but it was indeed pan-fried conch, and it was delicious. The rice and peas were plentiful, the salad was fresh and tasty, and the plantain was perfect. Not to mention it was right on the water, absolutely stunning. On my last day in Curacao, I couldn't think of a better place to go back to Sea Side for my last dinner on the island. This time, I ordered lionfish, rice and peas, salad, plantain, and polenta. I can not get over how much food you get and how delicious it is. Everything was perfect, but lionfish has a lot of bones, so be careful. This restaurant is a jewel, located by Marie Pampoen Beach on MLK Blvd. Great service as well. I'm forever grateful to the young lady who works there and helped me find my condo and get my bearings. Read moreWonderful seaside meal, don't miss out! I enjoyed the conch which was sauted in butter with onion and red bell peppers! It was EXTRAORDINARY. Pigeon peas were locally grown and served with rice, and a side salad. Peas were fabulous. My meal was $15 (USD).
Outside seating is approximately 50 feet from the ocean and offers a stunning view. As I ate, sweet ocean air blew through my hair (lol, see pics) as nature played the soothing sounds of waves gently caressing the seashore in the background.
Price: Reasonable $18 USD for conch (fresh, not frozen) meal and a lemonade
Food: Caribbean with Colombian and Italian influences
Service: Quick and attentive
Decor: Outside seating on lawn furniture feet away from the ocean (not on the sand).
Groups: Can accommodate groups because furniture can easily be moved
Recommendation: Try the conch, it is the first time I had it sauteed in butter with onions and peppers. It is my new favorite, and that says alot for a southern girl who loves...
Read moreIt was a decent environment including the view, the food was OK we had lion fish (first experience but it kinda taste like a normal fish to me) with white rice and vegetables and the other was a seafood mix deluxe with red snapper, shrimp ( there was only 2 shrimp located on the plate) and conch ( of this your first time trying this it has a strong fishy taste to it and quite chewing) with french fries and vegetables. While eating no one came to check if you need anything or your drink refilled, there was a couple next to us who had to wait a very long time and the servers weren't doing nothing just standing there which was quite unprofessional. P.S NEW YOUNGER SERVERS IS REQUIRED, the place has alot...
