As a proud temporary native of Curaçao, I've experienced my fair share of our beautiful island's beaches, but Mambo Beach remains a favorite of mine, despite its few downsides. This picturesque location deserves a solid five stars for its numerous facilities, gorgeous scenery, and inviting atmosphere.
Mambo Beach offers a wide variety of facilities that cater to every visitor's needs. From delicious dining options to exciting water sports, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The beach itself is well-maintained and the fine sand provides a soft and comfortable surface for lounging or playing.
The beach beds at Mambo Beach are quite pleasant and provide a great place to relax and soak up the sun. Positioned perfectly along the shoreline, they offer a front-row seat to the stunning, calm sea that characterizes our beautiful island.
Speaking of the sea, the tranquil waters are not only visually captivating but also perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The sight of flamingos flying by adds an extra touch of magic, making the experience even more memorable.
The view from Mambo Beach is nothing short of breathtaking. The vibrant colors of the water, sky, and surroundings create a scene that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on all who visit.
However, there are a few downsides to Mambo Beach. Due to its popularity, it can become quite crowded with tourists, especially during peak seasons. As a local, I understand this might be a drawback for some seeking a more tranquil and secluded beach experience.
Additionally, there is an entrance fee of 6 NAF per person, which, while not exorbitant, is still something to consider for those on a budget. And while the beach offers many amenities and attractions, it can feel a bit touristy at times, particularly when compared to some of the more remote beaches on the island.
In conclusion, Mambo Beach is a beautiful and vibrant destination that offers a plethora of facilities, stunning views, and a lovely atmosphere. While it can be crowded and touristy at times, the overall experience is well worth the visit. As a native of Curaçao, I am proud to give Mambo Beach a...
Read moreIt's great if you really enjoy people. If you're more of a solitary person, this is not the place for you. Pretty clear water, but many beaches are much clearer. It's nice for a sand beach, but its in no way nicer than literally any other beach on the island. It's location is the sole reason for its popularity. If you want to be close to shopping and food options, it's ideal. Can't get any closer to essentially a shopping mall aligned with the beach and endless food options. That being said, if you wanna drop and absurd amount of money in a very short amount of time, Mambo is the perfect place for you. But if you've got a car, and are fine with pretty much the same food you'll find at the beach restaurants, literally any other beach with a beach bar and restaurant will be infinitely better and cheaper. Personally Playa Kalki is by far the best. Great restaurant bar, and a truly incredible beach. Don't expect much snorkeling at Mambo, though there is some rocks a some tiny bits of coral by the rock wall with fish. You won't see anything special like you will at any Westpunt Beach. We went on a Thursday. I can't imagine how insanely crowded and busy it would be on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. At 11am, finding chairs was a 20 minute mission, and we had to settle for what we could find. Then got hit with 26$ fee as we were leaving. That is...

It is a man made reef protecting a man made beach. Lots of beautiful fish out near the barrier wall and the water is deep there but no fear of predatory fish. Beautiful water and sand for you to enjoy and it is all surrounded by the equivalent of a small outdoor mall and knockoff margaritaville. No issues from me on any of that and I wasn’t offended they had a subway etc. like other reviewers.
Beware of leaving this area in the evenings and taking taxis. I have had multiple experiences and the worst of which was being held hostage with a threat of calling police if I didn’t pay him $200 for an 8 min ride after we agreed on a few bucks. I told him to go ahead and call police but he wouldn’t obviously. Instead he called another crooked cabbie and they tried to get even more. I am a bigger guy 6’2” 230 and they didn’t care despite being half my size. It wound up costing me $50 to get back. I travel a lot and have not had this issue in any other countries or islands in the Caribbean. Nice place, some nice beaches but a few bad cabbies.
They also bring out steel barriers at 7pm to block beaches from fake margaritaville to charge a cover and it looks ghetto as hell. The most beautiful sunset may end up with a prison looking barrier fence in it if you don’t angle...
